My inner 10 year old would give this a 15/10 because.... fuck yeah Power Rangers! Realistically, I would feel like it would fall on its face and be just eye candy. Glorious, bloody, gritty, eye candy.

Whaaaat if I was part of a superhero squad I would make sure I ALWAYS had some subtle nod to my superhero colour or something, just for the other people in the group. Like if I was the pink ranger (and I totally would be the pink one) I'd have like a pink streak dyed in my hair, or always wear a pink item of clothing, or always have pink underwear or something. It would be cool as fuck.

At the end of this all I kinda was wondering as I think I only watched maybe 2 villains on Power Rangers and I don't recall them being disposed of, but what ever did happen to the villains? I think I watched that original movie and he was either killed or imprisoned or something, but like they had Rita show up in this.

Anything that gets a reboot and wants to appeal to the 21+ age demo needs to be gritty and bad ass with violence, swearing and nudity.

Look at the success of game of thrones as a benchmark.

I enjoyed it for what it was, an entertaining film by people testing out movie making. What's hilarious is people taking it serious and talking about it like a real blockbuster. I enjoyed it's nods to PR and anime
