Can't remember something I've never seen before.
When I was a kid we didn't have all these fancy plastic toys so we'd play with sticks, stones, rat carcasses...

Yeah never really knew how to play, but was more into collecting the X-Men ones.

Ah Creepy Crawlers... we were so broke we'd buy like the add on packs, some off brand stuff to make the critters and use the oven. Fun stuff unless they burned.

Who remembers the game Cooties? I used to have that, though I was little and as a result lost most of the cootie pieces. Lol.

I had so many pogs and a pile of different slammers as a kid. Plastic ones, a few solid metal ones, and I think I even had one made out of some sort of paper. Pogs were huge then, thereabouts...1995? 1996?

Boglins yeah (we had those back in the 80's too) and I'm pretty sure I had that exact one...and could probably dig it out of my parents attic

Pogs were great fun. Went to all the flea markets to buy them in my town. Not long after these kinda went out of style was when I got into magic the Gathering. around highschool.

Pogs got banned at my school cuz the older kids kept playing for keeps with the younger kids and stealing all their pogs. It was a goddamn tragedy.

These still exist. I've seen some children playing pogs in the streets of Xi'an (China) last year.
    Oh, hi.

There is probably still a warehouse full of them somewhere. They went out of style as fast as they became popular in the first place.

I'm not sure, still seems quite common there, met at least one other person that saw children playing it there, and you can easily find pictures like this, or this, or even in video.

And the fun thing is that these are from totally different regions than Xi'an (at least the 2 that indicates where they're from).
    Oh, hi.

Remember those little mad scientist chemistry sets where you made edible things and the commercials encouraged you to disgust people ()preferably any female children) with them...

Who remembers these, they're older than the monster in my pocket.
