Zingano's gameplan was completely stupid, especially against a high-level judoka. The last thing you should be doing is getting into a clinching situation with someone like that. She should've stayed on the outside, kept her jab in Ronda's face every time she tried to close the distance, and turned it into a boxing match.

Yes and no. People this encourage other people to take part though. It's like I was saying about stuff like esports and how so few women are involved, or like that other lady was saying a bout the talent pool in fighting stuff for women or sports in general. THere just aren't as many people interested, which leads to things like this, one person one sidedly smashing everyone, but at the same time, it encourages more people to get involve, which ups the overall level of competition and is good for everyone.

Well, he did say "a guy" so we can only assume he's talking about the average dude. Either way, I don't think it's news to anyone that top tier men are better at punching things than top tier women, though I don't see why people need to keep pointing it out like they're trying to make a point about something. When a dude wins a fight really well, no one says "He would have no chance against a cyborg" or something. Like aye, no shit, but fortunately in sports we don't compete things against other things when one of the things is straight up outmatched by their biology. Women being smaller than dudes is no more meaningful than men being weaker than the terminator.

More like, Women have a lot less testosterone, which is why it's not fair in athletic/strength competition to match men and women as the difference between women and men is on the same scale as men using steroids vs men not using steroids.

Roussey won her previous fight in only 16 seconds too and out of her 11 fights only 1 has gone past the 1st round. In fact 9 have been over in the 1st minute (and 1 was only 1min 6 seconds)... It's not that her opponents fuck up it's that Rousey can manipulate any situation into a winning position for herself in a fraction of a second.

The only person who has even been competitive against her is Miesha Tate. They have fought twice and I recommend watching those 2 fights on Youtube... Tate has serious guts. Far more entertaining than most of the mens fights i've seen although I admit i'm more of a boxing fan that a UFC fan so it's not like I watch all the fights unless Rousey is fighting.

I'm not sure what makes you think Lesnar sucked donkey balls. Considering where he got to in the short amount of time he got there and the age he did it at, he's pretty far from sucking donkey balls. He's actually the kind of athlete that you're not likely to see more than a handful of in a lifetime of sports.

Well shooting is in the olympics... And if shooting is in there's really no reason why bowling or darts couldn't also qualify. I'm not saying i'd like them to be in the olympics but I can't think of a reason they shouldn't be if shooting, archery etc are. How do you define what is and isn't a sport ? I don't know either, it's daft.

I can understand having "men only" or "women only" in things that, while don't rely on physical strength etc, tend to be entirely dominated by one gender, to get the less represented gender interested more, but for the "main event" separating it is daft.

Like, esports stuff, gender doesn't matter, and for all the big stuff you can compete as a guy or a girl against guys or girls, and some girls do really well, but since there arn't many girls in the competative scene, they'll have a few small women only tournaments which are kind of cool, and no one is taking it as seriously as like the GSL but it does help get more women into the sport by having like lower level more accessible stuff as a stepping stone, and I guess the same would be true in a sport that's dominated by women, though I can't think of any - not sure if any exist or I just don't know sports. And it's the kind of thing that just phases itself out as it stops being useful. When more and more women start to play at the highest level, then you just get the same people dominating every women-only tournament over and over, it gets boring to watch, and it goes away, and that's the point where it's no longer needed.

I dunno, could be. I know men are apparently better at hand-eye stuff but I can't see it being enough that it makes a huge difference, especially since many games do not particularly high levels of mechanical control.

I think it's more likely that there just aren't as many women interested in such things. either because it's videogames, or because it's competition, or because they just aren't being marketed to. Like chess doesn't need any hand eye coordination but there are very few women in chess at like.. high level play.

Compliments are patronizing? It's genuinely a good thing. There's a lot of shitty people on these boards some time, and a lot of shitty people in the world in general. Whether people are saying she's ugly, or saying she's attractive doesn't really matter, they're both equally insulting, and a ton of the time people just comment things like "shes hot i'd like to wrestle with her IF YOU KNOW WHAT IMEAN" and I just think it's good that it's not really been done here =/
