Challenge Mode Trinkets

How good is the lucky double sided coin for challenge modes? And what would be the best combination for challenge modes if u want to push and compete for times?Im thinking about coin+alchemist trinket but im not sure and maybe someone has experience with that.

2 on use trinkets is definitely what you want. unless you're 1337prozors and know how to properly manage your ICD's and time them so you dont waste procs or have it proc when something dies.

I havnt been in to CM's since early december, but definitely coin, and im interested in using the beating heart from Kromag, those two together should definitely work well.

If you switch specs mid run to MM for single target boss fights. having those 2 trinkets up with RF, you'll be doing insane dps.

My bad, i actually did not know on use had 30sec CD's. so much for being an ex CM king. haha

Pretty sure on use trinkets share cd with each other for quite awhile now.

The hardest part of a CM is the massive pulls, so BM all the way should be the best.

I remember there were 615 or 620 trinkets or something that were really broken on release? This may still be the case.
In any case chosing the one that best suits ur specs aoe effectiveness would be most beneficial (i.e. haste on use for BM + mastery proc trink or something)

Tons of wrong info coming out in this thread here, anytime you use an on use trinket such as Double sided coin it will put a 30 sec cooldown on another on use trinket if you have another one equipped. Also, you can switch specs all you want in cm's but you cannot change talents/glyphs.

I had my mythic CMA (had mythic scales[damn, my luck with trinkets out of boxes is op] before i got that out of my box). and Lucky Double-sided coin when i went for my 9/9 golds. I liked that combo most.

Get the conquest trinket that has passive versatility and combo it with the Alchemy trinket (620 version, it has mastery and doesn't count as one of your 3 crafted items) for BM, swap to Lucky Coin for the times you go MM (coin+RF+lust=nice burst on bosses).

Coin is passable for BM, but the long CD means a lot of the time it'll be almost useless. The ICD on the conquest trinket is the same as the Alchemy one, so them (usually) always lining up and with such a short ICD for the proc duration means they're up for a high % of every or every other pack. Two procs during most bosses compared to Coin which is only one (most bosses should die within 2min).


The 645 garrison one or the Imperator trinkets aren't that bad if they're all you've got. Any trinket does the job, but Alchemy+conquest are the best with a Coin for the times you swap to MM.

I went SV for 9/9 Gold. Used scales + BHOM. Every piece I used was MS+crit (except cape and gloves which were MS + vers).

I did 40-70k on AOE pulls (depending on size) and 18-26k on bosses (depending on movement). Spam multi-shot TOTH procs and win.

BM would've been a hindrance on bosses and I didn't want to take the time to farm a separate set for MM spec. Nor am I as comfortable with either.

I topped DPS overall on most runs.
