Best Cinematic

This has the potential to be an awesome thread. Now I know, just like with movie previews.....especially with movie previews.....a good cinematic does not a game make. But sometimes they are pure awesomeness, like this one:

The first WOW cinematic still gives me goosebumps... THE DRUMS OF WAR THUNDER ONCE AGAIN.

Have played FFXIV plenty, and I still let this cinematic play often enough.


The only wow cinematic that I like is the vanilla one.

As for the others cinematics... well.. I have seen better random wow pve/pvp videos that are more entertaining.

Not even a contest. All the tiny ships show up with *pop* *crackle* *bopp*, then the Destiny Ascension goes all "WHAT UP BITCHEEEEES".

This blew me away when I first saw it. I don't think I've seen anything better in the past few years. Maybe it was the nostalgia lingering from the first StarCraft game.

Much as I hated the expansion, I thought that the MoP trailer was the most beautifully rendered game cinematic I've ever seen:

Square Enix make really high def trailers, but they dont really have much soul to me, the characters remind me of dolls and its just really hard to care or relate to them. I honestly think WoW's are much higher quality, not just story wise but detail wise as well.

One of my favourite trailers (besides literally every WoW trailer) was the DC Universe one, had tons of my favourite characters in it, and Superman was actually cool for once. (yes I understand a lot of it probably didnt make sense)

Very cool trailer, but not as beautifully rendered as the WoW ones. In a similar vein, though, I liked this one:

I don't think anything can ever come close to the Dead Island trailer. Shame the actual game was nowhere remotely close.

Game cinematics are always going to be better if you care about the characters or story in them. I don't feel much for all the WoW videos posted.

I always felt the Armored Core series did a good job for getting you psyched to play the games:
