Best place to farm WoD ore?

Now that ore prices are back up, Ive decided to start doing my daily/weekly mining routes to make some extra gold. Problem is, I cant find any good or reliable mining routes or guides for WoD. Anyone got any tips or places they mine?

    The garrison mine?
You must become a Master Baiter if you want to want to master the One-eyed Fish of the Dark Caverns!

Good Luck on that, Draenor was designed so that the majority of the ore came from the mine so that there are actually very few ore nodes out in "the world" compared to previous xpacs and zones.

Recommend getting some collecting addon and look at http://www.wowhead.com/object=228563/blackrock-deposit and other mining deposits (usually blackrock and true iron are shared anyway). There's no really good place, besides finding a good path that hits a decent amount of those deposits

    Garrison mine and AH.

Mining yourself is a terrible waste of time. (and selling the ore an even greater waste, DON'T DO IT. Use ore, sell products)

When googling 4 letters is asking too much fact-checking.

or if you're a crafter you can get a bunch of primal spirits for it at the ore trader

Haven't tried any of them myself.. but came across this site when I was debating farming some myself. BTW don't you love when people give you all kinds of answers other than one that answers your question...

It would be a colossal waste of time imo. Just clear your garrison mines and if you still need more for some obscure reason use the AH. Farming ore in WoD has breathed a whole new life into "grinding for pennies".

Get 11 toons with lvl 3 mines with Lantresor in them... voila! Ores everywhere! =P... That's what I am planning on doing. I just need the gold to upgrade my lvl 2 mines to lvl 3 on my 11x lvl 100 toons.

I dunno what you guys are talking about.

One run through a lvl 3 mine yields, at best, 50 ore. That's nothing. Like yday, on my main, i got 30ish blackrock ore

OP, i haven't explored the other zones in this context, but when i was lvling mining on my farmer, i'd say that the best place would be talador, specially the watery areas.

Luck plays a part in the garrison mine yield.

With 18 nodes, you should get an average of 56 ore (at 3 ore/node). More if you get primarily Rich nodes, and even more if you open the carts.

When I was tracking my garrison mining for purposes of completing the Mighty Miners achievement for my guild, my L3 mines were averaging 64 ore, not counting carts. I was ticking 120-148 points against the achievement (though of course that counts the draenic stone.)

That's ridiculous. Most people would do nothing or just go out in the world and farm.

Honestly, if i bother to level my farmer to 100, i'll only stick to doing only my main's mine/garden and then farm outside. Hell, today i was even considering dropping alchemy on my 3rd alchemist - since Blizzard was so thoughtful by removing the 3 masteries - to level mining, just cause i cba to lvl another toon.

Its cheaper to buy form the AH than spend time farming IMO. My time is worth way more than what is it right now like 20g for a 250 stack of ore?

Then your server must be full of severe undercutters, cause the trend right now is for the ore price to be higher.

Yeah, its about 300g per 200 on my server on off days, and about 800g per 200 on ore days.

I have a level 3 mine on 4 characters, level 2 on another, and I watch the Trading Post for the cheap trader and get quite a bit that way.

Are most of these posts coming from people that are still playing in 6.0? Obviously the guy wants to farm ore because the ore prices have gone up a ton because of the ore trader.

Well, it with the ore trader, it is now tied directly into the cost of Savage Blood.

250 of any ore = Savage Blood.

Well, based on time spent I'd say ore + many alts. There you'll have none to "steal" your ores, and it's also a safe and guaranteed spot.
So start by leveling up 11 or so alts to level 100, farming mines along the way if they are miners. Once you hit 100, farm away in your garrison :P
