so what do you guys think of wisconsin becoming right to work state? i bet wal-mart is partying right now as we speak.
btw this is the only source i could find before someone complains about it being a local fox news outlet.

edit:could a mod change the title to right to work state? i messed it up.

I don't like right to work as much as I don't like governmental protection of unions. You should be free to sign a contract as a business owner to create a union shop. A business owner should also be free to union bust to his heart’s content.

Well that's not going to do much for weak wages.

Because Wal Mart totally doesn't operate in union states, and any attempt to unionize by Wal Mart workers in union states are successful.

I agree with it. The union shouldn't be spending members dues on political donations or charities that their members don't agree with. I am actually vested in the largest union in the country and I used to get super irritated when they would give money to the united negro college fund and democrats. At the time I could have used help for college myself but there was no fund for union members.

i also found this article as well it says wisconsin also passed a law limiting how much fees unions can collect from their members. this is truly a shining moment for wisconsin.

and why do you specifically not want it to go to helping poor black people?

actually most of the democrats in our state stayed home for some reason.
because prior to this he get elected with only a thin margin in 2010 and the recall.

Because at the time I was poor, working loading dirty hot tractor trailers, not even getting 30 hrs per week. I needed help just as much as they did and I was the one doing all the back breaking labor.

Because the base is really stupid in non-presidential election years.

Unions already can't charge you for anything other than services received if you don't want. The whole "they're making us pay for teh democrats" this is just fear mongering.

Yeah, here in Illinois we're having a similar problem. Bruce Rauner packaged himself as Scott Walker for Illinois, and he barely got in.

The only reason he won is because the Democrats stayed home.

i would argue it's pandering to the lowest common denominator. and that's me putting it nicely.

Bad policies tend to do that, make people stay home.

Congratulations, being free to find employment without having to suffer what is essentially a mob shakedown is a positive step.

I may have misunderstood. Isn't the right to work law a prohibition on employers requiring (forcing) prospective employees to join a union?
