There is no upper or lower age limit beyond what the law sets. And in my mind even age of consent laws are often unrealistic.

This is the truth right here. You're both legal age so who cares? If you're not acting on feelings because you think society might look down on you then that's on you. But to be honest most people aren't going to care. It's fallacy to assume that others give two rips about you and the person you're with.
