    Mumble question

I just started using Mumble with a guild I'm in on FFXIV. I haven't used Mumble much before, mainly Ventrilo so I'm a little confused on how to do things. I've searched far and wide but have found nothing on this, but some users have a crazy echo going on. Not all. Along with there echo it sounds like I'm listening to them through a water tunnel or something. Again, this is just a few, not all. I'm the only one hearing it, not one else hears it. I thought it would be my headset, but if it was my headset, wouldn't everyone sound wierd?

Anyways, I'm a little confused. Is there a way to have individual settings for each person like in Vent? It's just really annoying.

Open Mumble, Select Configure, select Settings, It should be on Audio Input , make sure echo is disabled, and your device is set to your headset. If that doesn't work then just play with the settings or read a tutorial.

Just messed around with it for awhile. Nothing fixed it. It's so wierd. In the group I was running in earlier, 3 people were fine, the 1 sound horrible. Then later, two had that same wierd affect, totally different people. The game, other sounds in other programs sound completely normal, but just certain people.

I looked through a few tutorials but nothing in them mentioned it. I saw some talking about echo's, but basically told me the same thing you did. I wish I could figure it out.
