Update just went live in NA, at least on Kel'Thuzad.

Tier gear didn't get the 5ilvl buff so its still sitting at 680 for heroic

They are doing it in two different hotfixes. So they released it when it was fully ready, it just didn't include tier by design.

Seeing as 2pc and 4pc sets can radically change the way you play your class and provide more output than a trinket or weapon, I'd say they're more important.

+5 ilvl on weapon and trinkets is a bigger dps increase than +5 ilvl on tier pieces. No one is saying that tier is less important to have. Just that it's less important in the context of an ilvl buff.

iLvl has nothing to do with set bonus though.

Unless anyone's actually thinking about swapping out their 4pc just to replace each slot with a 5ilvl upgrade for a few hours.
