It is not easy to interpret sarcasm on these forums. But I agree it does not and will not ever work.

Lord knows we need another thing criminalized because we just have too little people in jail as it is.

I have to agree. I start to seriously begin to lose respect for people when they start referring to the population as sheep. With that said "Sheep" I can get around. I'll still listen to you some. If one says "sheeple" all bets are off. You are done. Same with people who use "murica."

The NSA is okay because we don't need to worry about anything if we aren't bad guys.

The patriot act is okay, if you aren't a terrorist then you don't need to worry about anything and it keeps out terrorists.

Airport security is fine, we already have one guy crash a plane in the twin towers and it could happen again.

We're giving power to people and we're lapping it up. You don't think there was proper propagandist specialists (PR people) thinking how to craft that argument out to sound as pro-citizen as possible and how it's for your well being and safety?

At least we agree on something though.
I just don't see the parallel. I am 100% with you on drones...I don't like them, and I don't like the idea of them flying over my property. I was one of the ones in the drone thread we had a few weeks/month ago (half)joking about shooting one down if I saw it flying low over my property. I think that a person's property should extend all the way up until you reach commercial airspace. I just don't see microphones in streets as being invasive in the same way, mainly because it doesn't extend to my property. Now, if we're talking about super sensitive mics that could potentially invade my privacy, that's a different story.

haha, that's hilarious. have they ever thought about NOT allowing everyone to carry a gun? america has become totally blind in that regard. the government / the people are unable to see and think clearly when it comes to guns and the laws surrounding them. i'm so really glad i do not have to live there! :-)

I'm talking about the people who would just, without any protest, give away a means to protect themselves against a armed criminal

And that's your choice, I'm cool with that. Where I draw the line is when some want to take that choice from others

I had a guy from the EU believe that I have a mini-gun in my garage with a banner of the American flag.

Convincing an European that someone in Texas owns a gun? I hope you made a star in your calender that day so you can celebrate your accomplishment every year.

Dude, that sounds fun, yet expensive. You'd spend 800$ on ammo in 3 seconds

It's me kneejerking it a bit but I highly doubt the mics will soddy pieces of drek. They'll be good at what they do and they'll no doubt work especially since it's NY.

It's not nearly as bad as the other examples I make but I really do think I see them just slowly introducing more and more of this stuff when comparing it back to the 90s.
