Try to build muscle - even "converting" a little of the fat to muscle is a good thing.

As others above have said - you can't "target" fat loss. What you CAN do though, is target your abs/chest for strengthening/toning. It won't LOOK much different as long as layers of fat cover it, but a good foundation is never a bad thing, and once the fat IS gone - say HI to the new 8-pack staring back at you from the mirror.

Any responsible nutritionist will tell you that there is really no such thing as a food you cannot eat. Just learn moderation. Obviously, if you are looking to change your body shape - there are foods you should consider avoiding - however you can succeed by only modifying your diet/exercise regime. Consume 10% less, exercise 10% more, and you will achieve results (of course - that figure is rather prone to fluctuation - if a person is putting ON fat - then a simple 10% change may not suffice - however if weight is static - then that will achieve the goal) This will NOT be fast - however lifestyle changes like this shouldn't be rapid.

Good luck on your quest for health!

Lose as in get rid of ? Or as in shrink the fat cells?
Get rid of...Lipo or a version there of...only way to get rid of cells.

Shrink? See everyone else s posts.

Good luck either way....neither is easy or fun.

lmfao what? Do you think that just happens overnight? How completely naive can you be? The guy in the picture you posted has been lifting weights for years and likely runs steroid cycles.

    It has been said before.

You can't "target areas" for fat loss. That's just a sales stunt.

You either drop pounds/kilos or you don't.

Eat less, eat better, eat smarter, do lots and lots of excercise.

Stop eating processed foods, sodas, sugar, drop most dairy products.

Eat more lean meat, lots and lots of veggies, fruits, slow release carbs like rice, qunioa, chickpeas, cook at home and you'll start dropping pounds faster than you realize.

A lot of people on the internet like to go a bit over the top with this sort of stuff. Unless you really want to get super fit and go all health-freak, you probably don't need to go anywhere near as far as some people will want to push you.

If you just want to lose a bit of weight over time, stop the upward trend and gradually get yourself back down to a less flabby shape, you usually don't have to do anything completely extreme, unless you really have a big eating problem. For the most part, just cutting out the snacks (drop the chocolate bars and crisps), drinking more water, switching to diet sodas, and reducing the size of your portions will be enough to get you back on the right track.

Don't overdo it, because if you're not used to exercising or eating super healthy, trying to make a big 100% U-Turn is just going to fail, unless you have strong willpower. It's like going cold turkey with smoking - it works for some people, but not for everyone. Just make some small gradual changes every day and stick to them, and you'll start to feel better and thinner as the months go on, and eventually you can wean yourself off the junk completely if you wish to.
