And you better eat the entire loaf that day, because in two days it's gonna mold!

Regardless of whether you leave it out in a damp, warm area, or keep it in its sealed bag in your pantry!

Supermarket bread is full of preservatives and chemicals. Thats why it lasts longer. Its also why I will never buy it. I make my own bread if I am going to eat bread

Your own bread should not be growing mold in 3 days. If it is, you have other issues to worry about.

You don't understand. It's so natural, mold does not work the same way as it does on literally every other piece of food. The mold is attracted to how natural it is

A cool business idea; pay shit-all for raw ingredients and sell it for normal price for trendy hipsters, all under the pretense of "not wasting stuff".

    Speaking of waste........
People need to watch the videos on that page, and learn what one can do with "waste"....

Yeah, because it's not like any other restaurants in the US feeds you what is basically garbage. Seriously, this is a non-issue. Stop pretending that it matters.

Taken from the article you posted.
Reservations were snapped up quickly online, but diners can wait for a walk-in spot after 9 p.m. each night.

This ain't some quaint home owned restaurant you just walk into while drunk looking for a bite to eat. Your gona end up having atleast a 10 min wait time to get in. Not to metion its a pop-up restaurants, also called supper clubs, are temporary restaurants. These restaurants often operate from a private home, former factory, not some place some most ppl will go into if they looking for something to eat.
The diners here know what they getting.

Third, I can tell you didn't read the article, nor are you a foodie.

They aren't dumpster diving, it's like going to a bakery and buying day old bread instead of bread baked fresh that day. Just because it's a day old does NOT make it GARBAGE.
Sometimes the day old bread is the best. Especially the loaves of Italian bread where the outside is hard and the inside still soft. That's a little bit of heaven. When I was a kid on Long Island there was a Dugan's bakery nearby with a day old shop. I used to go there and get a loaf of Italian bread for a nickel, bring it home and slice it, put butter on the slices and scarf the whole thing. It was great.

Having said that, my statement that I wouldn't pay 75 cents to eat at this "restaurant" still stands. It's not about day old bread. It's about refuse. It's also a huge ripoff scam. They get the ingredients for next to nothing because they are cast off and then charge people $75 a head to eat it. It should be served in a hog trough.

McDonald's is a 5 star eatery compared to this abomination.

Business should be free to do whatever they want, and consumer should be free to decide if they want to support that business. Don't like it, don't go there, not like they are going to miss you.
What if business sells human meat i.e. cannabalism? What if they use SLAVES, and sex slaves? Good to go too?

Unless this food is just as safe as fresh food... everyone should atleast have to be alerted to what theyre eating.
