you don't know the definition of a cult.

And I want the senator to lapdance in retirement homes.

    Makes just about much sense.

i've seen a longer version of this and it was really just her frustration at how society has gotten in her mind, its strictly her opinion on things she wasn't putting forth said bill in way shape or form... Had she actually proposed such a bill i'd be jumping all over her to for being an idiot and i'm a Christian but that would be blatantly against the constitution. I see as nothing more than her venting her frustrations and remembering a time when to her things where better, heck i don't think she needed to apologize at all she has a right to her opinions and thoughts. Its not like that one guy had to apologize for being an idiot and saying guam would tip over and capsize if we sent to many troops to it.

You're the only one so far that seems to not have gotten her message.

    cult
    kəlt/Submit
    noun
a system of religious veneration and devotion directed toward a particular figure or object.
All religions are cults. It doesnt matter thier views or beliefs but they have no reason to be involved in government at all.

I'll be damned if someone is going to make me go to church, I'm not a atheist specifically...I can believe there is a creator just I strong opinions about domestic religions. You want to see violent...force me to go to church lol

What's wrong with brain washing? You wash your hands to stay clean why not the brain?

Seriously seen a documentary where some girl said something along those lines.

The funny thing is, she's still wrong. First, Saying religion has anything to do with morality is hilarious. Her observations are also wrong. The culture may be a little more more sexualized, but violent crime has been going down for quite a long time. Just because she lived a sheltered childhood, doesn't mean it didn't exist in her good ol' days. She's a naive moron and doesn't belong in a position of power.

But she is a senator, she better use the few brain cells left for her before speaking out in public. This venting is just "Back in the old days"...back in the old days religion was a part of the reason why the black population was discriminated. Gays still get discriminated because of religion. Religion has nothing to do in ones government.

Would you expect anything less from a conservative? Just be thankful they are a dying breed. Let's all hope they aren't allowed to do much more damage before they're gone, I'm not sure how our country will fare if a few more rounds of obstructionist traitors are forced into office through massive amounts of gerrymandering and voter disenfranchisement.

    Sta classy, conservatives

she doesn't want to force people into church. she just says she supports the idea. just like i support the idea of a globalized, socialist government.

obviously that's crazy and im not going to campaign for it, but in the idealist part of my brain, sure why not?

Tell me, would anybody give a shit about this article if it was titled "Old Lady offhandedly remarks that more people should go to church?"

If there's no law being purposed, theres no threat to your freedoms, and everybody should just calm down.

My social media feed says that there are enough conservatives in the making and it makes me shudder.

We would have been okay in general terms with discussing this, but since the OP is allready pushing this subject to religious discussion I'm just going to close this here before it goes off the rails further.

We do not allow religious discussion, neither promoting it, nor attacking it.
