I think this year a april joke thing is really not fitting this year.
Let them rather work on 6.2 because they cant affort any more poor patch this exp. pack.

6.2 announce date with more than just another Garrison update and the third raid. Then they'll release 6.2 with bug fixes and Youtube integration, so you can record your selfies in real time!

Some things that'd be major trolls to the players (and possibly funny):

Followers can recruit their own followers.

Better yet, followers can build their own garrisons, wherein they can each recruit more followers to build more garrisons.

Yo dawg, we heard you like garrisons, etc. That would be worth a tongue-in-cheek laugh.

Legacy servers, only with the showcased features being amplified versions of the most annoying things about past xpacs. All raid bosses in their 1.0, possibly unkillable forms, etc. They'd want the true classic experience, after all.

WoW on tablets, phones, and smart watches. Yep, you can play on a two inch screen now.

Put your own photo on your character's face so your friends can tag you in their tweeted selfies!

3 more raiding difficulty levels!

Now on top of LFR/Normal/Heroic/Mythic you will have

Heroically Mythical (harder than Mythic) - fixed at 18 players for *reasons* and to help mythic guilds shed those 2 players of dead weight, finally! GM: We're looking at you Jim, all that gear and still 15k behind on fights, Jim: But I'm an arms warrior and I keep falling asleep waiting to push buttons. GM: GET OUTTA HERE!

Nightmare LFR (harder than Heroically Mythical) - Uses the existing LFR grouping system but all the fight mechanics and scaled health/damage from mythic are put in. Also still no tier pieces drop but instead when your raid wipes you get a 1% increase buff to stats to help on the next attempt, this buff does not stack past 1.

and finally the most engaging and most challenging new raid difficulty:

Is this Real Life? (harder than Nightmare LFR) - fixed at 40 players and requiring a minimum participating of 99% attendance at all times and a minimum of 80% online status at all times. Any member that drops below the 99%/80% thresholds will have their characters deleted and account banned for life. Members of this exclusive difficulty must forgo all real life obligations and participate in 50 hours of raiding per week. Must maintain a minimum of 20 level 100 alts doing all garrison chores on all characters each day. If you die in a raid due to avoidable damage your character will die for ever, no backsies. You are required to have a mic and scream into at all times to communicate.
