Your facts aren't welcome here, boy.
*pumps shotgun*
Best go back where ya'll came from.
You're getting exactly what you deserve.
Watching the video I kinda feel like both sites are full of shit.
Well if a youtube video says it's true, then it must be true.
Go back to Stormfront.
Its too long ago to matter.

Let's not belittle the downright entertainment value.
So much effort for such a twisted result.
The Crusades were, by and large, about wealth, glory and power. Pretty much like every war ever.

Absolutely true, the Crusades were a way for nations to gain glory in the eyes of the european people.
On the point at hand, it actually isn't that wrong, the first Jihads were proclaimed way before the crusades started. But by the time of the crusades, this was just an easy excuse of "But they started first!"
1. Access to trade routes with the Far East (wealth).
2. Access to tourist (pilgrim) sites (wealth).
3. An outlet for European warrior culture away from Europe (glory).
4. Imperial ambitions from the inheritors of the Roman Empire (wealth and glory).
5. An "external enemy" to cement bonds between European nations.

Jihad actually means a "Holy struggle", so whilst all holy wars are Jihads, not all Jihads are holy wars.

Facts are not welcome here, go away. While your information is mostly correct, the video is awful.
Quite frankly the image of crusades as an unreasonable aggression on completely peaceful Muslims is far too deep ingrained now to challenge this completely wrong assumption.
Siege of Vienna. Battle of Tours.
Not really... It was partial glory and power and partial religious fervor... It wasn't to stop Muslims. Byzantium had been fighting wars and pushing back the Caliphates for centuries by the time of the first Crusade and would continue for centuries more after the last Crusade. It was the dark ages in Europe. Life sucked. The Crusades offered religious absolution, opportunity, glory, wealth, etc...
If it was to stop Muslims from expanding then where were the Crusades in the 15th and 16th centuries? You know... When the Ottoman Empire actually invaded Europe and conquered the Byzantine Empire, conquered the entire Balkan Peninsula, invaded the Holy Roman Empire (Siege of Vienna), tried to invade Italy (Battle of Lepanto), etc...?
The good ol` Christian Jihad. You have to admit, Christians did Jihad WAYYYyyyYYYYY better than the Muslims.
Gotta break a few eggs ~
That's really not a good way to start discussion. Locking this.
