I think Lolorito is pretty rotten. His snarl is likely due to Teledji being killed (therefore eliminating a convenient puppet).

Classic Hubris, Atë, Nemesis. Considering how much FF has always liked to borrow from classic literature and mythology, it's quite fitting. Not that Hubris is a literary device confined to classics, or that FF's stories can be pigeon-holed... but it fits.
I also agree with a lot of you that Raubahn is going to be like Barret. That was the first thing I thought of during that scene.
I also thought there was a chance they decide that Nanamo is not really dead... I agree that it would be a terrible decision for them to undermine all of our emotions. Deus ex machina, since I seem to be on a Latin kick. I don't think it's likely, but not impossible.
Why do some of you think Minfilia is dead? That was something I never considered. I'll have to go back and watch the ending again.
Even though I agree with a lot of your ascertations about what's become of the scion members, I also think there's a pretty good chance that we leave that whole story arc behind. Nothing but cameo's from any of the scions. Entering into a whole new world with new people and new stories and new plots. Sure, there is going to have to be some tying together of things, but I think it's a possibility we see little of them for a while.
It would also make sense to leave the suspense for a while.
Of course I could be dead wrong and they start resolving things and tying things together right away.

I personaly would not want to see her alive.... it would kind of ruin the whole moment that was set up. From what it looked like the scions are pretty much dead too though not confirmed. I m willing to bet at least some did not make it through.
The plot thickens
Anyone else feel like the heavensward story is 100x better than ARR. xD
I love it so far and I'm only 53 on my Ninja. Taking my time exploring the zones and finding the Aether currents. Still cant decide what I want to main as I haven't played the game much lately. I miss my Monk and I started the new job quest which is really interesting as you get to be a senpai gg.
What do you think about the side quests this time around? Because ARR had some really interesting side quests but this time around every single quest has its own story that is very involving.
Yup, I'm level 55 and just finished a dungeon but I can't get the next part of the story because it requires level 56, I'm seriously rushing to level up so I can see what happens next. I never felt like that in ARR. Heck I want to do this story quest more than the level 56 Dragoon quest.
Yeah I'm not the hardcore leveller (first job at 51 was GSM lol), but from what I've seen so far it's really good, you really feel like playing some rpg. Improvement over ARR is noticeable, I also like new voice actors, dialogues feel much more natural and not theatrical like before
i disliked the new VA's, so i switched my audio in cutscenes to japanese
3/4 the way to 54, havent done any sidequests other than for aether currents, but now it seems like im gonna just do all the sidequests to make sure i can keep pace with the MSQ
So far I think it's better than the original story. About on par with 2.55. I'm only level 51 as well so I'm looking forward to seeing the story develop

omg, I just finished the story yesterday, after rushing through 2.4 the day before. People dying while things are going to hell just breaks my heart. I almost don't even want to play anymore, especially now that I've switched to Astrologian, so the story progression has stopped for a while.
I feel that Nanamo is dead (I personally would be happy if she was not just because I prefer happy endings), but I don't think any of the scions are. It wouldn't be emotionally worth it to kill them off camera, and just a few questlines down the road gradually work into the conversation, "Oh, yeah, everyone really has been dead this whole time." That Hydaelyn finally spoke again to force Minfilia to stay behind for no apparent reason (she certainly wasn't going to hold anyone off with her fighting skills) makes me think is crucial to their survival stories.
I don't dislike Minfilia or Alphinaud as characters really, I just wish Minfilia was not so absolutely useless the entire time. I wouldn't mind if she took the Yuna route and showed up again with dual pistols. I'm not digging Alphinaud's new voice so far, but maybe just since I'm not used to it yet.
I'm going to be kind of all over the place now:
Could someone remind me where Cid, Biggs, and Wedge have been the entire time from 2.1 to now? Obviously Cid showed up again on the airship, but then took off again. What the heck is he doing that he can't stay around to help?
I was really disappointed that the admiral and Kan-E-Senna walked out so easily. I get the whole political aspect of it, but their friend just got assassinated and their only force against the primals is presumably about to be executed. To just leave without even so much as a comment feels like a big letdown.
Urianger's part in the story is also very confusing. He's working with the Ascians, but also helped Moenbryda with the white auricite. He obviously didn't tell the Ascians since they didn't understand how the other was wiped out. (Sorry for being vague here, I can't remember any of the Ascian's names.) He was already my least favorite character though, could not stand his monotone voice or his awful speech pattern.
And like people said, the Ascians are already pulling the strings in Ishgard. I actually thought the attack announcement was phony and was expecting Ser Aermeryc and Lucia to be murdered by their escort, wouldn't have surprised me at that point.
I do find it extremely silly that we just walk around Ul'dah freely now. It seems like a huge plot hole, but I think Momodi explained that it was safe since the Brass Blades already made their rounds, but... it's still a really odd feeling, especially walking up to military officials in the Immortal Flames.
I hope at least something gets resolved in HW, and that we don't have to wait until the end of the next wave of content patches to find out. I would assume all new primal battles are on hold in the story since we lost our protection of the light, guess we'll see.

Most of what you said will be explained in Heavensward
Note to self:
Male Lalas are pure evil
Another note to self:
Female Lalas are damn cute - hated Nanamo's demise. So glad Tataru survived.
Onto Heavensward!
i dont trust tataru
