    Rift 3.1 - Hotfixes

    Now that 3.1 is out, time to tidy it up and fix a few annoying bugs that slipped through, here's the first Hotfix #1

    RIFT 3.1: Hotfix #1 1/29/15

    GENERAL


    * Fixed an issue affecting players who have more than 1283 total Planar Attunement points. If you're still experiencing trouble, please contact CS.


    ZONES AND EVENTS


    DRAUMHEIM

    * Raid Rift: The Darkest Magic: Silenek’s Cower Together can no longer be reflected.

    TARKEN GLACIER

    * Certain Shaghi of Ghadaul Tundra will no longer respawn instantly upon death.

    TYRANT'S THRONE

    * Adjusted the placement of some harvesting nodes that were trapped under terrain.
    * ZE: Leviathan: Fixed an issue that was causing Crucia to spam her broadcasts.


    DUNGEONS AND INSTANCES

    CHRONICLES

    * Fixed an issue that inadvertently disabled the following Chronicles: Hive Kaaz'Gfuu: Queen's Gambit, Infernal Dawn: Laethys, and Planebreaker Bastion: Aftermath

    * The Captive Terror’s Vile Spit damage is now back to normal.


    CRAFTING

    * Risarian Minim should drop from resource nodes much more frequently again.

    This week's hotfix opens up a second Tier One raid in the form of Tyrant's Forge where you once again must fight Crucia but this time she's wearing her spanking new robo-dragon armor, here's hotfix #2

    == FEATURES ==

    NEW RAID: THE TYRANT'S FORGE!

    The Tyrant's Forge has accelerated production of all top secret weapons projects. Now players face a race against time to infiltrate and Crucia's new monstrosities before they can be unleashed upon the world. Join together with your friends in this new 20 man raid instance to defeat the Storm Legion super soldier Johan, the deep sea war machine codenamed P.U.M.P.K.I.N, and the murderous masterpiece forged in the image of the Tyrant herself!


    GENERAL

    * Added text to the looking for group window stating that xp and coin will be rewarded based on dungeon difficulty.
    * The Psquid Psychiatry achievement will now trigger if you are in a group.
    * Guild Quest: Digging Deeper: This quest will once again give credit for collecting Twisted Artifacts.
    * Fixed a bug where guild chat would occasionally vanish for an entire shard.


    RIFT STORE AND SERVICES

    * Patron's Focus now applies its cooldown reduction to the Rift Consumable abilities from the new Dust, Dusk and Steam PA planes.


    SOULS

    CLERIC

    INQUISITOR

    * Unified Theory: Fixed an issue where Unified Theory was awarding stacks of Echoing Concord both when the Unified Theory was applied and when it was consumed.


    MAGE


    NECROMANCER

    * Possession: Temporary Abilities are now on the Global Cooldown. In addition to its other effects, it now reduces the Necromancer's Global Cooldown to 1 second while active.


    ROGUE

    MARKSMAN

    * Free Recoil: Removed VFX.

    WARRIOR


    LIBERATOR

    * Dichotomy of Pain: Now has a 35m range by default.

    REAVER

    * Fixed an issue where certain abilities had their old tank role aggro multiplier.
    * Desecrating Blow: Added "enemies" to the description.
    * Dire Corruption: Has been fixed to no longer prevent flag captures or proc effects other than power leech. Should no longer cause Cloak of Death to break.
    * Dire Step: Should now function correctly with Shadow Warp.
    * Fester: The debuff now says damage instead of Death damage.
    * Mind Break: Now properly says the duration is 45s instead of 30s. No longer be purgable from a target, thus allowing Spasm to hit again.
    * Renamed the auto attack increase ability for Reaver to Plagued Reach. Description should now state Reaver instead of Tempest.
    * Plagued Reach and Electrified Strikes (Tempest) should no longer stack to increase auto attack range to 55m.
    * Pestilence: Clarified tooltip to better denote that it is a 1h long term buff.
    * Stumbling Morass: Now does not snare those under immunity from movement effects.

    WARLORD

    * Everything is a Weapon: Tooltip now shows the proper value of 20%.
    * Warlord's Focus: Now properly consumed by Piercing Thrust and Wave of Steel.


    ZONES AND EVENTS

    * The following places have once again been grant Rested status (and allow logout without a 20 second wait): Choreburg crafting area, Ghar Station Rosh hub, Ghar Station Tau hub, Gemini Bluffs hub, and the Octus Monestary hub.

    DRAUMHEIM: RAID RIFT: THE DARKEST MAGIC

    * Now drops the appropriate rift loot.
    * Shadow Smite can no longer be reflected.
    * Fixed an issue that could allow some Rabbits to gain too much HP.
    * Fixed an issue that could potentially trigger Greater Evil when interrupting Phantom Pain.

    GOBORO REEF

    * Instant Adventure objectives in the Gyel Fortress area have been moved outside of the Fortress walls.
    * Removed the text reading "Unwalkable" from the ocean floor between Goboro Reef and Tyrant's Throne. Be on the lookout for Skelf hooligans with spray paint and a sense of humor.

    TARKEN GLACIER

    * Certain Shaghi of Ghadaul Tundra will no longer respawn instantly upon death.
    * Omi is being a little more generous these days to those trying to get the "Boxed In" and/or "Thinking Out of the Box" achievements in Tarken Glacier. She is now allowing a bit more time to get the required boxes.


    DUNGEONS AND INSTANCES

    CHRONICLE: THE RHEN OF FATE

    * Reduced the number of times the Drekanoth of Fate summons World Eaters.
    * Fixed an issue that could cause Ungolok’s lockout barrier to not reset properly.
    * Dimension items obtained through The Rhen of Fate achievements are now bound to account.

    CITADEL OF INSANITY

    * Corrected an obscure bug that could cause the tank to die after leaving Citadel of Insanity.

    MOUNT SHARAX

    * Warmaster Ilrath will now attack every 1.5s instead of every 1s. This should dramatically reduce his damage output.
    * Fixes numerous bugs with Threngar's encounter reset, added a failsafe to activate phase 4 mechanics at sub-25%.

    RETURN TO IRON TOMB

    * Realizing his work was done, the Invisible Man packed it up and went home, no longer asking the Ascended to work.


    CRAFTING

    FORAGING

    * Risarian Minim drop rates from Foraging nodes have been increased.


    ITEMS

    * Fixed an issue that could cause tooltips for item effects to report being more effective than the actual procs. This is a tooltip change only.
    * The Frost Reap debuff no longer reduces the enemy's resistances.

    Some interesting additions to this week's Hotfix, Guild level increased to 30, new Guild Banners, some tweaks, earrings can now be crafted, all in Hotfix #3


    RIFT 3.1: Hotfix #3 2/11/15

    GENERAL

    * An "I'm Stuck" button has been added to the in-game help menu from the start button tray. You can still use "/stuck".
    * Fixed the problem that made the mouse not work at all in experimental Oculus mode.


    GUILDS

    * Increased the max guild level to 30.
    * Added new Sigil versions of each of the guild banners, except Banner of Clairvoyance.
    - These Sigil buffs require all 3 ranks of their respective banners in order to unlock for purchase.
    - The buffs are upgraded versions of the banners which increase their respective stats by a percentage instead of the current flat amounts.
    - They also differ by applying the buff directly to raid members instead of requiring the raid to remain within range of the banners, and do not drop an object on the ground.
    - These buffs have the same duration as the banners, will last through death and follow the same stacking rules as the banners.
    - They require the new Combat Sigil reagent to cast.
    * New perk: Renown: Increases notoriety gains by 3/6/9%. Please verify this works as expected.
    * Increased the max rank of Regroup to 3.
    * Increased the max rank of Rift Extraction to 4.


    SOULS

    MAGE

    CHLOROMANCER

    * Living Shell: Fixed an issue that was preventing this ability from generating Charge. It should now generate 9 Charge when used.

    STORMCALLER

    * Storm Armor: No longer benefits twice from the Warlock's Improved Mage Armor talent.


    ROGUE

    MARKSMAN

    * Static Shot: Cooldown has been increased to 30s.
    * Removed PVP reductions/restrictions on Strafe, Sniper Training, Deadeye Shot, and Empowered Shot.


    WARRIOR

    REAVER

    * Fixed an issue where debuffs Decaying Defenses, Septic Wounds, and Vile Affinity could stack multiple times. This debuffs are now limited to one stack on the player/enemy no matter how many Reavers are casting on it.
    * Rancid Cleave: Now respects line of sight.
    * Plague Bringer: Fixed tooltip to properly reflect the number of additional enemies that can be effected.
    * Decaying Defenses: Fixed an issue where fire resists were not being reduced.
    * Dire Corruption and Precision Strikes: Fixed an issue where these were not working together. Both should be working as intended now.
    * Stumbling Morass snare should no longer stack with other player cast snares.


    ZONES

    DRAUMHEIM

    * Weekly Quest: Spirit of Adventure: Now requires level 60 to accept.
    * Misty Rayne in Flargle Plaza in Draumheim now offers a Daily to complete a random level 65 Chronicle.
    * Raid Rift: The Darkest Magic: Decreased the health of the second wave of Rabbits.
    * Raid Rift: The Darkest Magic: Increased the cooldown of Lograr’s Lights Out ability to 12 seconds.


    DUNGEONS AND INSTANCES

    BLOODFIRE STRONGHOLD

    * Corrected an issue that was preventing players from zoning in.

    MOUNT SHARAX

    * Increased the range at which Martrodraum will engage players with his abilities.

    TYRANT'S FORGE

    * Darth Elevator has been replaced with a teleportation device in Crucia's fight.
    * Crucia is no longer immune for 8 seconds after players destroy Storm Capacitors.
    * The Tyrant's Bay Tendril will no longer return after Johan has been defeated.
    * The cast bar for Johan's ability Overload now correctly displays 15 seconds.
    * Fixed a bug where players were able to drop combat during the PUMPKIN encounter.

    THE RHEN OF FATE: CHRONICLE

    * The protective bubbles that appear during Rage of Storms now despawn two seconds after Rage of Storms end.
    * Reduced the damage of the Scoundrel Shootists by 20%.
    * More trash mobs now move away.
    * Increased the number of Bloat Gumps to eight per cage.
    * Chronogos now allow players to skip past boss vignettes.

    THE RHEN OF FATE: SLIVER


    * The protective bubbles that appear during Rage of Storms now despawn two seconds after Rage of Storms end.


    PVP AND WARFRONTS

    BLIGHTED ANTECHAMBER

    * Added line of sight blockers to the starting platforms. Players will no longer be able to attack from on top of your starting platform.

    GHAR STATION EYN

    * Corrected an issue in Ghar Station Eyn where enemies could enter your base.

    PORT SCION

    * Reduced the point value granted for killing the idols in Port Scion to 100 due to player feedback.

    WHITEFALL STEPPES


    * Attempting to enter any bases while carrying a Stormstone will reset the Stormstone.


    CRAFTING

    * Earrings can now be crafted by the Artificer profession!
    * Basic Amender recipes have had their cost to acquire from the trainer greatly reduced.
    * Uncle Stan's Fishing Derbies in Tempest Bay can now be done by players of Fishing skill greater than 375. This is a temporary measure until new Fishing Derbies are released for high level players.


    UI AND SETTINGS

    * Fixed a case where target player names would not use the guild color, even though they are in your guild.
    * Fixed a display issue for recipes in the favorites tab of the crafting window.


    ITEMS

    * Fixed an issue with the Icezerker! proc that prevented it from gaining duration for additional Nightmare Tide weapons equipped. It now:
    - Has a 100% chance to build a stack on critical hit, up from 50%.
    - Has a 5 second internal cooldown between triggering stacks.
    - Has build-up stacks that last for 15 seconds, up from 10 seconds.
    - Has a lockout duration of 15 seconds, down from 20 seconds.
    - Has a reduced size of the Icezerker! proc's transformation by 33%.
    * The Ancient Glacial Shards proc now more reliably hits up to 5 targets in a line between the caster and their target, when triggered.

    Good week to be a crafter in Rift, this weeks hotfix adds craftable trinkets for the first time ever in the game and more upgrade paths for gear, all in Hotfix #4


    RIFT 3.1: Hotfix #4 2/18/15

    GENERAL

    * Golden Maw Bounties can now be collected.
    * Fixed achievements spamming after completion of a Nightmare Master achievement. Thanks Deew!
    * Fixed a possible crash when previewing a minion linked to you from chat that you don't have.
    * Improved Oculus Support: The error that was present as you moved the mouse further and further from the center of an eye has been fixed, making clicking on the UI accurate.


    RIFT STORE AND SERVICES


    * You can now properly preview combat pet skins on the Store.


    DUNGEONS AND INSTANCES


    BLOODFIRE STRONGHOLD

    * Bloodfire Stronghold no longer pulls players in from LFG.

    CRAFTING

    * We have created new recipes for the pre-Expert upgrades of the crafted equipment in Nightmare Tide!
    - These recipes will still take an Amender and the base components from the previous tier of equipment, but will save you the trouble of having to craft the base item and then upgrade it via the UI.
    * Trinkets can now be crafted by the following professions: Weaponsmith, Armorsmith, Apothecary, Runecrafter, Outfitter & Artificer!
    * Crafted armor, weapons and jewelry can now be upgraded to Expert Epic and Expert Epic 1.5 equivalent power levels.
    * Fixed a bug when linking a crafting recipe rafting that sometimes displayed the wrong recipe.


    ITEMS

    * The Ancient Glacial Shards proc found on offhands in Mt. Sharax now affects a spherical area around the target instead of a line from the caster to the target.
    * The Icezerker proc has been re-designed. It now works as follows:
    - When you critically hit, you transform into an Icezerker! While transformed, your next 5 attacks within 12 seconds will deal 4,200 additional damage.
    - This affects one additional attack for each Nightmare Tide raid weapon you have equipped.
    - This effect cannot occur more often than once every 30 seconds.
    - Now only affects Single-Target damaging abilities.
    - This change affects Shij Ir, the Gatherer of Shadows, Fist of Threngar, Ekor Ira, Hand of Threngar and Draum Ra, the Rising Shadow.
    * Fixed a bug that caused the following procs on Nightmare Tide raid trinkets to be incorrectly affected by talents, buffs, and debuffs:
    - Rending Shield
    - Symphonic Hymn
    - Embrace
    - Icy Wrath
    *Curate's, Monk's, Conjurer’s, and Elder's Fathomstones will no longer lose or retain the same crit rating after being upgraded.
    * Fixed an issue with Healer trinkets from raids that caused their tooltips to report lower absorb values than they actually provided.
    * Mass Soul Mend now:
    - More accurately hits all nearby players in your party or raid.
    - Can no longer hit players with whom the user is not grouped.
    - Affects dead players as well as living ones.
    - Has had its tooltip updated to indicate that it also affects party members, even if the user is not in a raid group.
    * The Dreamsource Greater Essence has been re-designed. It now works as follows:
    - Your Critical Hits have a chance to transform you into a Nightmarish Fiend.
    - When you transform, your next 7 damaging Single-Target abilities deal an additional 1701 Ethereal damage.
    - If an additional Nightmare Tide Greater Essence is equipped, the number of affected abilities is increased by 3.

    No they did not. They just added the upgraded versions that have always been available as directly craftable. Why? I have no idea, it saves neither time nor resources, but it not as bad as you are making it.

    CARNIVAL OF THE ASCENDED RETURNS!

    * The festivities begin at 3 PM server time on Thursday, February 26th!
    * John Tintan has joined the Carnival and is looking to procure exotic materials from the Plane of Water.
    * Instant Adventure in Goboro Reef will sometimes feature Adventure Pinatas. These have all the loot of a normal boss encounter plus Pinata Prize Bags!
    * Publicist Sijay Creg can be found in Sanctum and Meridian, encouraging Ascended Adventurers to impress the crowds with tales of their heroic deeds.


    GENERAL

    * Fixed the drop rate of the minion Lil'Reggie to be much less frequent than before.
    * Fixed a bug with time to next stamina point calculation.

    GUILDS

    * Emby the Cat Herder in Margle Palace now offers new guild quests for the Plane of Water.
    * The following guild quests are now limited to guilds level 21 through 24: A Growing Storm, Shock and Awe, Unholy Ground, Recycled Scrap, Halls of Horror, Core Crisis, and Shattering Hearts and Minds.


    SOULS

    CLERIC

    INQUISITOR

    * Unified Theory: No longer a separate buff. It now applies its bonuses and effects to the fourth stack of Life and Death Concord.
    * Radical Coalescence: Now applies 4 stacks of Life and Death Concord instead of applying the Unified Theory buff.


    ZONES AND EVENTS

    * Rewards for zone event completion should be more consistent in being awarded upon completion of all rare Nightmare Tide zone events.

    DRAUMHEIM


    * Raid Rift: The Darkest Magic: Slightly decreased the frequency of Lograr's Light's Out ability.
    * Raid Rift: The Darkest Magic: Decreased the health of Lograr and Silenek.

    GOBORO REEF

    * Quest: Reef Rebuilder: ixed an issue that could cause the Dormant Coral to not respawn properly.

    TARKEN GLACIAR

    * Zone Event: Darkness From the Depths: The Abhorrence will now have the correct amount of hitpoints.


    DUNGEONS AND INSTANCES


    TYRANT'S FORGE

    * Players who trigger Johan's anti-cheating enrage will now be notified of who and what triggered it.
    * Crucia:
    - It is no longer possible to defer Crucia's "Phasing" casts.
    - Fixed a bug that could cause Crucia's "Displace" ability to hit targets on whom "Locking On" is transitioning to "Target Locked."


    CRAFTING

    * Thalasite Nightmare Alloy and Thalasite Dream Alloy no longer share a cooldown.
    * The new Nightmare Alloy cooldown can also be cleared using the Rift store Energy Infusion crafting consumable.
    * The Thalasite Alloy recipes no long call for materials from the Storm Legion expansion.
    * Crafting professions attempting to craft trinket items at non-traditional workstations should now be able to open them via the mouse.


    ITEMS

    * Fixed an issue causing Threngar weapon procs to boost the damage of several abilities without deducting a stack from the number of attacks to affect.
    * Fixed an issue that was erroneously causing Akylios's Manuscript of Psychosis to affect some weapon procs from current content.
    * Lowered the price of Nightmare Ichor and Faint Dreams to the appropriate price.
    - Was 75/250/1000, and is now 10/35/90 marks.
    * Changed up the stat distribution on Peerless Thalcrystal Choker to give less Endurance for more Spell Power.
    * Peerless Sarfiber Shortbow now has the same proc as the Peerless Sarfiber Longbow.
    * Fixed an issue causing Shadesource Greater Essences not to benefit from having a second Nightmare Tide Greater Essence Equipped.
    - These items now properly have their Healing and Damage boosted by 50% when a second Nightmare Tide Greater Essence is equipped.

    Well a dev said the Goboro Reef IA bosses are way overtuned in HP and will be halved next patch... idk why they can't just roll it out NOW as a hotfix cuz honestly it takes way too fucking long to kill them atm for a whopping 5 voidstones.

    E; add to that they are putting in better scaling as well for tasks in IA

    I am liking the pinata rewards tho (few minutes after posting this I got Nebula from a pinata bag ^____^ )

    Cbf to sift through the forums and find the post, some other bug fix coming I'm guessing it is the the carnival of ascended bug. If you are above 375 gathering you cannot get the festival gathers.

    Not really but the lag issues are just ridiculous lately, Trion said they were getting hit by DDoS last week.

    This was your own self perception. Not a useful question.

    Rift is no more "buggy" than other major MMORPGs made in the 2nd era style; so, no.

    Adding the minor Hotfix #5.5 from last week as well for the sake of completeness.

    Some welcome changes this week for Guild quests, doing the Manugo one last week at 10,000 clicks was an ordeal i don't care to repeat every week, it's nerfed down to 600 in Hotfix #6

    AUDIO

    * As a potential fix for some of the recent client crashes, we've temporarily disabled a few of the sounds associated with Arclight Riders, Arclight Lifters and Storm Legion Lifters.

    CARNIVAL OF THE ASCENDED

    * Boosted the power of level 65 essences available on the World Event category of the RIFT Store!
    * Minions: 6 star Carnival of the Ascended minion adventure rewards will now award a Limited Edition: Twisted Carousel Ram Trove.
    * Harvestables should now drop for players with skills levels over 375.
    * Auroral Doubloons can now be redeemed for Prize Tickets.


    GENERAL


    * The tooltip for Guard Rating has been updated to reflect the values required for the next tier of Raiding. Please note that this value is not set in stone, and may be adjusted later.


    GUILDS

    * Guild Quest: Playing the Numbers: The count has been reduced from 10,000 to 600.
    * Guild Quests that require Conquest kills have had their counts reduced across the board.


    SOULS

    CLERIC

    INQUISITOR

    * Bolt of Depravity: Fixed a bug causing the GCD to be reduced down to .5 seconds when under the effects of a full Life and Death Concord Stack and Spiritual Scrutiny.
    - This spell now has a 1 second GCD while under either or both of these effects.


    MAGE

    ARCHON

    * Flaring Power: Fixed an issue where rapidly repeatedly activating this ability would trigger its cooldown without activating its effect.

    DOMINATOR

    * Voltaic Feedback: Now has a 4 second cooldown.

    PYROMANCER

    * Pyromania: Has been increased from 2% per talent point up to 3% per talent point.


    ROGUE

    MARKSMAN

    * Calculated Shot: Now observes Line of Sight.
    * Static Shock Munitions: Effects now persist through death.
    * Strafe: Reworked so that clipping the channel no longer voids the damage while the projectile is in flight.


    ZONES AND EVENTS

    * ZE: The Ravenous Devourerer: Fixed an issue with broadcasts spamming from this event.
    * Jineth’s Arclight Lifter Adventures will now always be available so that you may earn Herim.

    DRAUMHEIM

    * Cerulean Steel has been given some asthma medication. Choreburg is now 100% less annoying.

    GOBORO REEF

    * IA: Boss health has been reduced by 60% across all instant adventures in this zone.
    * IA: Scaling of "Kill" adventures has been reworked for smoother scaling of difficulty.


    DUNGEONS AND INSTANCES

    CHRONICLE: RHEN OF FATE

    * Captive Researchers will now respawn after the instance resets.

    INTREPID CHRONICLE: RIVER OF SOULS

    * Fixed the rare chest so that it no longer drops a Warm Nexus Warped Power Core.


    CRAFTING


    * Removed the Storm Legion materials from the Unholy Talon of Izbithu and Accursed version recipes, and replaced them with Nightmare Tide specific materials to alleviate some player frustration.


    DIMENSIONS

    * Dimension Keys no longer stack until further notice.
    - Stacked keys will be separated and placed into vacant inventory slots.

    TEMPORAL FLUX

    * Weapons dropped for level 65 players from Temporal Flux Vault III now require level 65 to equip.
    * The Greater Essences that drop from the Temporal Flux Vault III have had their stat power increased.


    DUNGEONS AND INSTANCES


    BLOODFIRE STRONGHOLD

    * Players can now zone in to Bloodfire Strong hold while dead.

    TYRANT'S FORGE

    * Crucia: Hard Mode: Fixed a bug with phase 4 which would prevent players from gaining multiple stacks of a negative charge.


    PVP AND WARFRONTS

    * PVP related.

    CONQUEST

    * Quest: Conquest Carnage: Kills in Dimensions no longer update the quest.


    ITEMS AND VENDORS

    * All Expert Dungeon weapons that drop from bosses now have an upgrade path similar to the Expert armor drops.
    * Fixed an issue that allowed several trinkets to be used when not equipped.
    * Fixed a bug that caused Dreamsource Greater Essences to lack elemental resists. They now appropriately grant Water Resistance.
    * Updated the description of Nightmare Tide Greater Essences to indicate that their synergy bonuses are only activated by equipping two Greater Essences from Nightmare Tide. This is a tooltip change only.

    A few tweaks to keep the PvP'ers happy with weapons and essences procs, all in Hotfix #8

    RIFT 3.1: Hotfix #8 3/18/2015

    GENERAL

    * Fixed a bug where animations wouldn't be queued up again if they were already playing.
    * The minion daily refresh time is now 4 AM server time. As part of this fix, all missions will be refreshed after the patch.


    ZONES AND EVENTS

    DRAUMHEIM


    * ZE: The Ravenous Devourer: Fixed an edge case that would cause Ojingeodon to become unkillable.
    * ZE: The Ravenous Devourer: Changed Ojingeodon’s “Drowning Voracity” to give players a 3 second window to get out of the AoE target spot.


    DUNGEONS AND INSTANCES


    TYRANT'S FORGE

    * The Storm Legion Teleport Pad to reach Crucia can now be used by multiple people simultaneously.


    PVP AND WARFRONTS

    * Increased the drop rate of equipment from Marauder’s Supply Caches.


    ITEMS AND VENDORS


    * Fixed an issue causing the following items to have level 60-quality procs. The procs on these items are now equivalent to other level 65 greater essences of the same function:
    - Marauder's Greater Brimstone
    - Marauder's Greater Hailshard
    - Marauder's Greater Rotward
    - Marauder's Greater Lifewood
    - Marauder's Greater Deepstone
    - Marauder's Greater Sandstone

    * Fixed an issue that caused Marauder’s Greater Essences not to count as Nightmare Tide Greater Essences for the purpose of activating synergy effects on other Greater Essences.
    * The damage provided by Empowered Dreambreaker (PvP) Weapon procs has been increased by 200%. These procs now do comparable DPS to PvE weapon procs from Expert dungeons.
    * Fixed a bug that could cause the AP/SP bonus from Shadesource greater essences to cancel itself when several other short-duration buffs were applied to the target.

    - Note: The "affects you also" portion of the "If an additional Nightmare Tide Greater Essence is equipped, the increased Attack Power and Spell Power affects you also on proc" effect is not currently functioning. This will be corrected in a future patch.
    * Enhanced Refurbished Construct Plate and its upgrade now have the correct Hit Values.

    It looks like a change is been made to optimize the game engine? lockboxes look like they'll drop useful items, all this in Hotfix #9

    GENERAL


    * The Carnival of the Ascended quest "Adventures of the Rich and Famous!" has been removed, now that the event is over.
    * Guild perk passives now properly activate upon putting points into them.
    * We've begun a lengthy process of optimizing game data, which will result in improved load times. Due to the scope of this change, we'll be spreading out this change over the next few months, which will lead to patches being larger than usual.


    RIFT STORE AND SERVICES

    * Significant improvements have been made to lock boxes, starting with the all new Levitate Supply Crate!
    - These lock boxes are now more likely to drop premium items, with a higher variety to boot! The possible drops include Character Portraits, Character Slot Extensions, Extended Hair Style Sets, Trade Skill Extensions, Underwater Mount Training, Planewalker: Water Attunement, Earring Slots, Skin Color Set Bundles and Hair Color Set Bundles!
    - Almost all premium items are now tradable!
    - The amount of Void Stones and Abyssal Crusader's Marks that are rewarded have been increased.
    - There is now a 100% drop chance for equipment.
    - Rare runes no longer drop when opened at level 65.
    - A new upgrade tier has been added to equipment that brings it in line with Marauder and Expert gear.
    - Costume Bundles, Warfront Announcers and Combat Pet skins now have a chance to drop.
    - Many of the less desirable potions and temporary enchants no longer drop.


    SOULS

    ROGUE


    MARKSMAN


    * Strafe: Changed tagging on this ability to get full damage bonuses from Marksman talents.


    WARRIOR

    REAVER

    * Procced effects from abilities-- such as Vile Affinity, Septic Wounds, and Decaying Defenses-- are now removed from the target when they die.
    * Dire Step: No longer removes abilities that are considered bleeds.

    DUNGEONS AND INSTANCES

    TYRANT'S FORGE


    * Fixed players getting stuck in the overhang during the fight with Johan. They will now be teleported out with a secondary override if the first override fails


    ITEMS

    * Updated the tooltip on Faesource type Greater Essences to increase clarity. This is a tooltip change only.
    * Fixed an issue causing upgraded versions of the Marauder’s set of PVP Greater Essences to have weaker procced effects than their base versions.
    * Fixed a bug causing the self-buff from the Shadesource healing Greater Essence not to appear in your buff bar.
    * Fixed a bug causing the self-buff from the Shadesource healing Greater Essence to apply even if it was your only equipped Greater Essence. This effect now requires two Nightmare Tide Greater Essences to be equipped, as stated in the tooltip.
    * Fixed a bug that would allow the user of the Shadesource healing Greater Essence to cancel buffs that it applied to other players.
    * The tooltips for PvP Weapon Procs now indicate their maximum potential damage as well as their minimum damage.
    * Hardmode Crucia cloaks: Fixed a bug that could cause the Nano-Vortex not to spawn when the Nano-Charged debuff expired.

    Reduced loading times will definitely be nice, tired of having them hang on 95% for almost as long as it takes them to get there.

    Still waiting on multi-core support -_-

    You do realise that even on DirectX 11, no matter how many Cores you have, the way the API is set up is that the first core does nearly all the work and the other cores do very little, this explains why a Quad core CPU can run rings around an 8-core 'beast'

    However, Windows 10 and DirectX 12 show great potential in addressing this and DX12 will be capable of pushing the Data from your GPU across to all cores, up to 8 cores in fact.

    Other key features of DX12

    Better use of multi-core CPUs
    More on-screen detail
    Higher min/max/average framerates
    Smoother gameplay
    More efficient use of GPU hardware
    Reduced System power draw
    Allows for new game designs previously considered impossible due to restriction by older APIs

    The only "downside" is that it looks very unlikely Microsoft will put DirectX 12 into Windows 7 to 8.1 so we'll all be forced to use Windows 10, it'll be a free upgrade anyway for a year but still
