Rosberg has lost his nerve, was all too clear in Malaysia. Not pushing hard, pulling out of challenges early, he's not racing.
Ex-Mod. Technically retired, they just won't let me quit.

I think he is way to obsessed with catching hamilton that hes actualy not looking at whats behind him hes also complaining quite a lot on the board radio and in the pits, last year he started good he was quick often quicker then hamilton and won a few races then hamilton started to get better and started to win more races and winning more direct battles from Rosberg thats when he started to crack and that kinda passed over to this seasons it seems.

Also awkward that hes constantly asking for things on the radio that the team isnt allowed to tell him i think hes the only driver thats actualy asking things that most drivers know by intuition, put alonso, kimi, vettel or bottas in his car and i bet they would do better against lewis then he can tbh put hamilton in rosberg's car and i bet he would be quicker then rosberg...

My brother and I started watching the races this year. I compared Hamilton/Rosberg to Senna/Prost, as in one wants to dominate the other.

That being said, Hamilton should have won the last race but poorly managed his tires and that extra pit did him in.

    Qualifiying top 10.

    1 Lewis Hamilton Mercedes 01:35.782
    2 Nico Rosberg Mercedes 01:35.824
    3 Sebastian Vettel Ferrari 01:36.687
    4 Felipe Massa Williams 01:36.954
    5 Valtteri Bottas Williams 01:37.143
    6 Kimi Raikkonen Ferrari 01:37.232
7 Daniel Ricciardo Red Bull 01:37.540
    8 Romain Grosjean Lotus 01:37.905
    9 Felipe Nasr Sauber 01:38.067
    10 Marcus Ericsson Sauber 01:38.158

Kinda expected nothing too suprising sadly kimi made a mistake in his last fast lap which would likely would have put him on p3 or p4 still find it weird that eventho ferrari has the fastest car but not the best traction as we can see in the times of Q3 that kimi is still faster then lewis in S1 which is quite a difficult part so whatever those mercedes cars are doing in S2 and S3 its quite amazing.

It wasnt a extra pit, they had planned to go in 3 times so in the end Vettel won because of their better strategy, racing is never only about who can push their car the fastest over the finish line.

Also seems that Renault gained extra PK from their engine upgrade but still miss out on top speed.

Didn't help Hamilton that they mismanaged the tyres he used in qualifying either.

As things stand I don't see anyone but Lewis winning the Driver's Championship, but if Rosberg keeps losing form he could slip below the Ferrari's which will make the CC more competitive. It's an outside shot, but unless he gets a huge shot of confidence he's done as a top team driver. He needs to get over last season.

Nico Rosberg just said "We wont use Soft tires in the race apart from the ones we start on" is it just me or does that seem weird? as the soft tires are 1 to 1½ quicker per round then the mediums as ferrari said they have 1 set of Soft tires that is only used for 3 rounds that they seem to be going to use.

Also Nico seems frustrated about his team giving him the order to speed up his outlap while thats when you nurse the car back to the pits

as for stop strategy's i think its going to be a 2 stop from Mercedes going from Soft to medium and then to medium (if we can believe Nico) and if they do can that sustain a good race pace on those mediums as for Ferrari they might do a 3 stop if they go from soft to soft and then have to go to medium or maybe go from soft to medium and then to soft again.

Also Manor marussia is changing their livery with the grand prix of spain.

Do you think it's all nerves or lack of confidence because as NG said hes not even trying atm and blaming his crew for his mistakes.

I think lack of confidence and like NG said if he keeps this up he might slip inbetween or behind the ferrari's, he needs to start focusing on his own race not on those of others, this looks like Vettel/Webber 2010/2012 all over.

A mixture of both, he's not focusing on his own race and he's pulling out of challenges he should and would have made last season. Right now he's akin to a Hewitt after he got utterly dominated by Federer, there was a fire in his eyes that isn't there. Either he gets it back, or he'll find himself being dropped for someone else who's hungry and competitive.

Rosberg is talented and is good enough, the problem is he's holding himself back and making excuses for errors.

Great 1st lap for kimi taking both Bottas and Massa in S1 and looking at the round the Mercedes and Ferrari's are doing low 1.44's where the Williams are doing high ones.

    Kinda boring race.

Very very very poor we wont hear the last of this especially from Horner, its gonna become a mud fight again

Interesting that Rosberg says that he had to stay out longer in the second stint after Lewis went in so that he could make sure Vettel wouldnt catch up with the risk of Vettel catching up on Rosberg because Vettel had newer tires, also funny when Rosberg asked if he can speed up to catch Hamilton because hes slower they told Hamilton to step up the pace.

Hamilton was being conservative after last time, they probably looked at the telemetry, saw he was overdoing it and told him to step up.

Rosberg accusing a driver of holding him up is hilarious, if he's going slower than you mate, overtake him. That's what racing is.

Thats why i think its funny that he asked the team if he can go faster so he could catch hamilton, like he had to ask permission to do that or something lol.

I find it weird that Lewis was able to go from a low 1.44 to a high 1.42 on old tires after Nico pitted.

Meh cant watch that in my country.

Next race is gonna be interesting as its gonna be a hotter condition and it will be interesting where Mercedes stands after their defeat at Sepang under a hotter condition its gonna be medium and hard tires again.
