Darkmoon race frustration

It took me probably two dozen attempts to finish the big race in an acceptable time but I dare say that I actually had fun doing it.

You do know in order to get all the toys you have to do the 6 (believe that's how many) different races? With each month rotating. Since each type has it's own race. So if you only want it once then you are clear, but if you want them all then you're in for a rough ride.

Well there was no "rotation", and this is the second month. They're just 4 different mounts for the same track, so I'm guessing in the end we're gonna have like 4 mounts for each track.

Sounds reasonable, I'd hate learning 8 different tracks.

Yeah, small Wanderluster one is AIDS. All of them are, wouldn't have hurt their rep putting Gold to 12.

You guys realise its not supposed to be EASY. What would be the point of that?

BUT try try try and you will get it. If you get only 3 tolls until first post you will do it, if you dont then quit race and restart. Took me 30mins.

Only took me 5-10 attempts to get the little race.
I forgot t he Big Races existed and went to go do the available three last night.
Took me about 2 hours xD for things that aren't even toys! AND I DID IT ON AN ALT D:

Most of us do have it, doesn't mean we think it's a great past time. The whole thing is buggy as hell with people moving around power ups affecting your race, power ups occasionally not triggering and stuff like passive mount speed buffs some classes have being applied to the race mounts such them having a pretty big advantage. Hunter that are glyphed for it, paladins, dks and such have a way easier time.

The biggest and true issue lies with the tolls counting up each time you hit a checkpoint, so you effectively lose 2-3 tolls over the duration of the game and the achievment is actually "reach it within 9~" tolls.
