Question Help me find a freaking game on steam.

I quit wow in late march and ive been playing nothing but counter strike source since.

Thats what usually happens when I quit wow.

I own 115 games on steam ive been a member of it for 3 years. The only games other people would consider essential I seem to be missing are the civilization games, and total war series, and Grand theft auto.

cant stand grand theft auto and I detest RTS games.

Steam has a great expansive library for people who love Indie games, and strategy games. I am not one of those people.

I really miss games like Halo which are unfortunately only for consoles.

Not interested in unfinished early access games.

my favorite games of all time are :

    Kotor
    Dragon Age origins
    Mercenaries
    Brute Force
    Fable
    Counter Strike
    Halo 1&2
    Animal Crossing original for gamecube
    Super smash Bros
Conker's Bad Fur day and Live and reloaded
    Star Fox 64
    Battlefront
Lord of the rings return of the king
    Lord of the rings conquest
    Medal of Honor
    Mirror's Edge
    Condemned Criminal Origins.

    Added

RTS the only Rts games I have adored are DOW and battle for middle earth.

Well thats all I can think of at any rate.

Have you played kingdoms of amalur? Might be worth looking into if you like fable, it doesnt have any morality system in the same way though.

    Try legend of grimrock.
Or divine divinity if you aren't afraid of retro games.

    Cities: Skylines is damn good.
Mortal Kombat 9 is on sale right now I think for 5 bucks.
    Xcom Enemy Unknown is good
I really enjoyed Borderlands 1. Haven't played the others but I'm sure they're good too.

    This.
Also, if you like Metroidvanias, Risk of Rain.

Why does it have to be a steam game? I think you are limiting yourself.

GW2 is on special for the next 3 days if you are interested at 75% off ($10-$15) - https://www.guildwars2.com/en/
    ESO has also gone B2P.

Don't get me wrong, steam have some nice games. I just don't think you should restrict yourself to steam.

Ya, if you are so desperate to have something to play, play an MMO.
Can also try Nostalrius if you are interested in some classic wow.

Pretty much any MMO will give you more hours than all those games listed put together.

Play "It's a Wipe" and support your friendly indie developers.

When my friends look at Steam they see a treasure. When I look, I see a huge pile of shit with a couple of gems here and there.

The games that really spring to mind for me are Deus Ex: Human Revolution and the Witcher games.
I don't think this matters nearly as much as you think it does.

Rather arrogant dismissing games simply because they are "indie" as they can be hugely varied.

Wolfenstein: The New Order. For an old school shooter type experience.
Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor. Since you like LOTR.

Have you tried Kerbal Space Program? It's a space simulator where you build rockets and go to the moon etc.

Have you played Mass Effect? Seeing as you liked KotoR and Dragon Age, I'd say you would have a blast playing through this amazing trilogy. Although, I believe, you can't get it on Steam and have to use Origin instead.
