My Spriest needs some help

Hey all!

So I've got some logs for my Spriest. He either pulls really good numbers, or really meh numbers. Seeing as I know next to nothing on Spriests, I'd like some of you to look over the logs, and give me some feedback, so I can assist him with improving and pulling the numbers I'd like him at.

Now the main issue is that we seem to be having problems on heroic blast furnace. Him, being one of the either higher dps, or one of the bottom.

I know he doesn't have his four-set yet, keeps getting gold or out rolled.

It appears that he is speccing CoP for *EVERYTHING*. CoP is not a good thing to be on anything but single-target fights (i.e. Gruul + Oregorger). On multi-target fights, AS is VASTLY superior, yet he does not seem to be bothering to respec.

In fact, he's apparently not even respeccing his CoP based on the fight, as he is using Halo on fights like Beastlord and Blast Furnace, where Cascade is HUGELY superior. He also seems to be heavily padding on these fights, as a large chunk of his damage comes from Searing Insanity, which you should basically never use on Blast Furnace (though you can on Beastlord).

It looks to me like he is either unaware of the existence of the premier Shadow spec, or he knows of it and simply chooses not to run it for... reasons. Not running the proper spec when it's such a VAST difference in performance is not a good sign for a raider...

He's pretty much doing it all wrong.
He's using Halo, he should be using Cascade.
He's using CoP he should be using AS.
He should be casting SWP on everything, he's barely using it.

They should be looking up a basic guide on shadow because he/she pretty much doing everything wrong as Diedre said. It's hard to really get someone to improve on warcraft logs without getting them to understand the fundamental mechanics of a class/spec.

Correct. It certainly was. However, that was also a overview of the fight, and I wanted to get more than one or two people's input on my priest, so I decdied to post in the priest forums.
