Interestingly, his best movies were those were he played serious characters. He's actually a really good actor. His talent was wasted on some of the movies he did.

Try watching Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind and The Truman Show.

Carrey peaked during "In Living Color", I loved him on that show. First Ace Ventura was the start of his decline, and it went downhill fast for his comedies. Some of his serious stuff was good, but his day in the sun has passed I believe.

if you think about it, Carrey would actually be a good spokesman for gimmicky stuff like this. he's into some out there stuff for real.
