    Thumbs up Indie Streaming Build

    Hello!

Lately I've been trying to do some streaming with my friends (as well as some Let's Playing). I usually only play indie games or something like Hearthstone, but even that has been giving my computer some struggles. So I'm looking to upgrade to a new PC.

Not looking for anything super powerful, just be able to stream and use Skype without any issues. I rarely play a game that's more demanding then say, Diablo 3.

I don't have much experience building my own PC, but if I could get a nice parts list to start from it'd be very helpful. My current plan is to spend the next few weeks trying to find parts on sale, assembling as I go!

I'm also curious if I can poach things from my current PC. I doubt I can as it's about 5-6 years old. Don't need things like my disk drive (Has anybody used one in the last year?) and my Hard drive is good enough for now. I tried to find exactly what was on my PC, this is what I found
(For what its worth, my computer is a Gateway Fx6801-09h, from about 2009):

Video Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 285
    Processor: Intel Core i7 920
    RAM: 12GB DDR3
Hard Drive: Good enough for me!

    The Details:

    Budget: $600-$800
    Resolution: 1080p
Games / Settings Desired: Indie games mostly. I rarely play anything more advanced then say, Diablo 3!
Any other intensive software or special things you do (Frequent video encoding, 3D modeling, etc): Streaming/Let's playing, so lots of video processing/editing. Skype!
    Country: Canada
Parts that can be reused: Possibly! See above!
Do you need an OS?: No!
Do you need peripherals (e.g. monitor, mouse, keyboard, speakers, etc)?: Nope!

Thanks for the help! Any guidance or advice would be very much appreciated

I'd say a Gtx 960 will do you proud.
