    Shouldn't republicans be hardcore religious?

SO why are they in favour of destroying gods work even after the saved 1 of each animal?

I sort of thought the same, except that conservatives should be for conservation.

Hmm. I wonder if they'll start enforcing their border with Mexico now that they don't have enough water for everyone?

Their answer to that is basically "god wouldn't allow us to fuck up his perfect creation".

I don't think we lowly humans are capable of destroying God's work. Typically God's works destroy ours.

You can't destroy an ant or a tree?

I think we're talking about two different meanings of the term "God's work."

If we applied this logic to humans. Well Humanity would be MUUUCH smaller. It's dangerous logic.

I was referring to God's continuing work. Killing a single ant or tree is allowed... after all, Noah had to build the Ark out of something. Jesus was raised by a carpenter also. So I don't think the idea that Christians aren't supposed to kill trees is all that legit. Now, let's assume that humans sought to kill off all ants and all trees. I don't think they'd be able to.

You know, Texas recently had a drought in the past two years or so. They totally changed their policies and that is what fixed it.

It is raining right now as I type this, suck it Cali!

There is a ton of reasons. Most of the water infrastructure was built in the 40's and 50's. Aside from letting water out of the reservoirs, Illegal immigration, bottled water and unchecked new construction are the main ones.

Well, the climate change occurring right now - at rates MUCH faster than "god's works" has only one source - humans.

So do you think humans can or can't influence nature? You also haven't provided any kind of coherent argument why we wouldn't be able to kill all ants, should we so desire.

Thing is... all these water restrictions don't apply to the farms, since we idolize corporate farmers in this country. Only solution is to charge the farms the actual market value for the water they use. This will force them to conserve, and rise their prices for produce.

    In Southern California?

Well I'll be damned didn't think of that, learning something new everyday. Either way I hope the drought ends.
