Yrel has that thing that Velen placed on her forehead, I think she's a Exarch too, which means that she's at least powerful.
Also, Yrel has the mighty PLOT ARMOR, but I think it doesn't count in this situation...

On top of her Umbral Crescent, Maiev happens to have over ten thousand years of elite training in the tracking, subduing and detention of enemies of her people and an arsenal of more subtle weaponry (Such as her throwing daggers, or cloak embroidered with knives) and potent magical abilities (Avatar of Vengeance, Blink).

Yrel, on the other hand, has... never actually accomplished anything. Maybe we'll see in 6.2 since she's present in the Archimonde fight.
