    Ignore by account

Is there an add-on out there that can ignore players by account, rather than just the toon they bother me with?

Don't know but it would be a GIANT step forward. Hope someone is working on it.

Doesn't the current system do this by default?
    Correct me if wrong.

Nope, and Blizzard has no interest in pursuing such a feature.

    https://us.battle.net/support/en/art...gnoring-a-user

    (select Ignore in the dropdown)

The Ignore feature prevents direct chat contact or whispers from all characters on the specified player's account, but this only protects the character you are currently logged on with. To use Ignore, type the following in chat:

    /ignore user

    or

    /squelch user

Replace user with the name of the character contacting you.
Yes, it is in the game.
And also I was not aware of the /squelch alternative.

Also were it possible to retrieve a list of characters in such a way then we would have a privacy issue.

If memory serves the new ignore feature, when using a Battle Tag, will also ignore the user entirely preventing you/them from being put in a Looking-For-Group with them/you. This is to help prevent future toxic environments in Looking-For-Group.
