I simulated a hectic (movement and downtime) profile in simulatiocraft with full pvp gear and no buffs at all and haste scaled better than mastery.
Which made me wonder if I still want to go mastery as usual, or prefer haste over mastery?

Haste has always been a poor stat when you have downtime, which you do in PvP due to CC and heavy movement. Versatility is what the top Paladins seem to be going though. So Versa > Mastery > Haste?
E: Vanguards' 6.1 guide on AJ has "Strength>Versatility>Mastery=Haste>Multistrike>Crit"
The logic for Versatility for pvp is that it works for heals, all attacks and reduces damage you take (which is often a problem for ret).
Mastery only affects some attacks (CS, HoW, TV/FV, DS) via Hand of Light.

In general, yes, that's true.
But, in 2on2, it depends on what your're playing.
Which talents/glyphes do you choose?
What's your partner playing?
Are you playing double DD oder DD/Healer?
Haste isn't that bad, but it's mostly worth if your're going with DP.
Also, with the next gear, you'll have ~10/15% Haste definitly.
