Nyx Assassin's abilities also have improved properties while burrowed: Mana Burn and Impale have 50% increased cast range, Impale Cooldown is reduced from 13 to 9, and Spiked Carapace instantly stuns any enemy units within a 300 area of effect without requiring them to hurt him first.     Nothing of real interest, looks like they're going the typical power creep path of "lets not nerf the OP shit, let's just add other OP shit and see if it balances out." Not really sold on any of these changes yet.

    Shall we play "pick a new item and tell us how you use it"?

    I could see building that Solar Crest instead of an Aquila if I wanted some early snowball on an agi hero, lack of raw stats could be problematic (basically treads mandatory) but evasion that low level and an active like that could make for some interesting gank/escapes.

    If mango was a bit cheaper I'd def use it instead of clarity on mana dependent str heroes, but I dunno if I can justify 150g.

    The Octarine Core sounds the most fun to me honestly as someone who usually plays intel heroes. I never thought I'd see CD reduction come into Dota.

    I somewhat agree. First thing I thought to myself upon reading over this is "man they really just stole all their ideas straight from /r/Dota2." I guess this means they listen to their player base after all

    Only thing I really like out of the entire list is the upgraded shadow blade. Being able to break heroes will let early game gankers remain relevant against idiotic heroes like PA/void because they won't RNG their way out of every gank.








    Oh, and you can now teleport while ethereal. Probably the biggest game changer against heroes like Troll.

    Things we don't see that needed to happen:
    Euls nerf
    Lina nerf
    WR ult nerf
    Techies removal from the game

    Honestly my genuine assessment of these patch notes is that it looks like Icefrog wrote them while drunk at 3am last night because Gaben told him he was out of time and needed to get SOMETHING posted today or the fans would lose their shit.

    Everything looks great to me but I'm still somewhat bothered by the lack of Eul's and Lina nerfs, although the buffs to magic resistance items help. But Riki and Clinkz got buffed so it's time to go ham.

    Euls did get nerfed. +100 mana to use seems pretty hefty. Lina got very slight nerf.

    +100 mana cost when it's bought by heroes with massive mana pools and also grants massive mana regeneration...doesn't really seem significant. Won't affect Lina even a little bit, especially since fiery soul didn't get nerfed, she will still have 500 movespeed which is one of the biggest issues with her.

    Chakra Magic now adds a buff that that reduces the cooldown of the next spell its target casts by 1/2/3/4 seconds. Buff lasts 12 seconds.

    Don't think LD aghs will ever get bought, maybe in a really long game where LD already has a 6 slotted bear. It doesn't solve the primary problem of other carrys just 2 shotting your bear late game, and you don't have 4200g to waste mid game for the utility, LD is only good when you rush fast damage on the bear and kill people while entangle is still overpowered.

    That's really how I feel about most of these aghs upgrades. Like...they're interesting, sure, but most of them will never get bought because the heroes just can't afford to waste 4200g on an item that doesn't give them actual killing power. Morph is the most interesting one, maybe WK, but that's primarily because those heroes are already extremely good naked.

    I'm glad overall for the Chakra buff, KotL was easily one of the bottom 3 heroes in the game and this could make him somewhat relevant again. It could make him an extremely scary lane partner for heroes with low cooldown nukes/stuns. Not so excited for Octarine.
