ASUS Maximus VII Hero or Maximus Formula

Hey, I'm getting a i7 4790k at the end of the month and was planning to get the formula board with it, However i sm now also interested in getting the hero board as it is a little bit cheaper and there does not seem to be much different other than how it looks, Will i get better Overclock results on the formula or will it be similar with both boards ?

    Boards in question:
    Hero: http://www.amazon.co.uk/1150-ASUS-Ma...ximus+VII+Hero

    Formula: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Maximus-Form...ximus+VII+Hero

    Thanks

Overclock results are 99% the same all the way from $100 to $500 Z97 motherboards and it should never be the criteria for picking a board. Power management on all boards is adequate and most critical parts are built into the Haswell CPU itself.

Only reason to get more expensive mobo is things like better audio or specific color scheme, not OC.

Unless you're planning to add the mobo to your water loop then the formula is basically pointless. You'll also get the same performance from the asus ranger as you would the hero, and save extra.

they are in essence the same , since they have same chipset and the things that you need for OC are almost the same, the difference is that the formula can be added to the water loop , more usb 3.0, more sata, wifi , bluetooth, thunderbolt more fan headers , and amp for head set ( they have same sound card) and the shield and back plate which makes it look awesome,
