Have you ever had a sobering moment? And by sobering I mean you had a shitty attitude or weird mind set and an event happens that kind of brings you back to earth and you changed how you viewed things or how you acted. For me I was in my late teens and I got sent to a 3rd world country for some discipline, I was a pretty shitty kid not going to lie. Seeing the poverty suffering and misery of the area i was in (8 months) made me realize that I had it very good and I learned to appreciate what I have and no matter how bad things there is someone that has it worse. Living there was hell on earth but I got by and I learned a lot about surviving and I came out with skills that helped me even to this day. It changed me profoundly. So has something like this happened to anyone else?

I've been let go from a lot of jobs, I thought those a**holes and I couldn't believe the bad luck I was having. Then I realized it was all my fault.

A change of medication made me realize I was a lot more at fault for the deterioration of my relationship with my mother than I previously thought.

That was a sobering moment to say the least.

I think a lot of guys can relate.

One cannot simply brush off the fact that they could've been a dick to their mom, regardless of ciricumstance.
