    Question Upgrade & 24" or 27"?

I would like to upgrade my GPU and add a 2nd monitor. My current build is:

    CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K
Memory: 16GB-Kit Corsair Vengeance Low Profile PC3-12800U
    Video Card: ASUS GTX660-DC2O-2GD5, GeForce GTX 660, 2048MB DDR5
    Motherboard: MSI Z77A-G43, Intel Z77, ATX, DDR3
SSD: Samsung SSD 830 64GB SATA 6GB's Basic
HDD: WD Caviar Green 1TB Sata 6Gb/s
Power Supply: 550W (I can update the vendor later)

    Monitor: Asus VS248H

My plan is to upgrade to GTX 970 and maybe get a 2nd Asus VS248H or the 27" version of it.

    1) Are 550W still enough?
    2) Do you see any other bottlenecks in my build / what would be the next thing to upgrade?
    3) Any bad experience with different sizes of monitors at the same time (ingame)? Would you recommend 2x 24" or 1x27"?
    4) Is 27" too big or not big enough?
    5) Will the prices drop e.g. for the 970 if 980Ti is out?

No budget set, i'm just looking for a good price/ performance ratio

    Thanks for any help!

    1) Yes a good 550W is enough. A crap 550w might really only be 450w but even might be enough as well. My advice, unless your psu was very good to start with and under 3-4 years old then get a new one along with the gpu. Best to give us the exact model and how long you got it.

    2) No bottlenecks, you could overclock the cpu if you haven't (with an aftermarket cooler) for cpu heavy games (mmo's) like WoW.

    3) No objections using a smaller 2nd monitor if you don't mind yourself.

    4) 27" @ 1080p is crap, its too big you will be able to see the pixels. Max for 1080p is 24" imo. For 27" you are going into the 1440p area.

    5) Nope, i seriously doupt that, never happened before. Even if you look at stock 770's prices havent dropped since they were out a few years ago. Bottom line don't plan on it.

27" at 1080p might be an issue depending on how close you sit to the monitor. I have a 27" 1080p (ASUS "Designo" series) but it sits in the interior corner of the desk, about 4 1/2 feet from my head. If i sat closer to it, it would be potentially problematic due to the large pixel size. If you sit a more traditional distance from your monitor, youd probably want to be 1440p if you did 27"
