    [TV] Mr. Robot

Never heard of this show until a friend told me about it. Only one episode out so far but I really liked it. Could be something.

Follows a mysterious anarchist who recruits a young computer programmer (Malek) who suffers from an anti-social disorder and connects to people by hacking them.

Just found the pilot, I'll check it out tonight and be back with my opinions afterwards. Gotta say it has potential though the cast is all a bit too pretty for a show about hackers .

Liking this show, i found him to be a good actor during the pacific from spielberg i believe.

So i have good hopes that this will be another great show in the lines of Rubicon from AMC.

Wowza, that was a GREAT pilot. I felt like I was watching a movie, except at the end I realised there was about 9 more hours to go.

Honestly think this was the best, most compelling pilot I've seen in YEARS. Sure it wasn't perfect and I'm sure if I was more tech savvy I'd have noticed countless problems with the jargon etc...

But as a piece of entertainment fiction, don't think it gets much better. Anyone know if it's been picked up and when the next episode is?

Really enjoyed the pilot. Too bad it's around 25 days until the next episode or more if that's when they'll air the pilot again on live TV.

I've been seeing trailers for it on TV (I think?) so I'd say yes. I believe USA has it. (Source: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt4158110/)

Awesome, good to know. Now just to long wait to see WHEN it airs and if they can keep up the quality of the pilot.

Curious though if they'll air the pilot on the 24th or move to episode 2. Honestly I'm expecting it to be the pilot episode just because they can't count on people watching the pilot online in advance. Which sucks but makes sense.

I assume the pilot, but if the full video is 64 minutes, then you add commercials, it'll be an odd run time I think.

Finished watching it, liked it, but not sure I would watch an entire season. Of course, no telling how many episodes there are, it IS USA and they're a bit random. I usually watch Sirens after the airdate anyway, so this may be the same.

Ah cool thanks. Now let's sit back, wait for that date and pray the pilot does well... I have a distinct feeling that it'll be a little too cerebral for the average TV person.

Gosh, i read the description, and thought wow, this describes most of you , or what you're experiencing/heading or want to head towards.

it will be popular amongst these forum users.

Really? I can't think of anyone that would want to be like the main character. Unless you're talking about Christian Slater because I could get behind that.

Really? i think most of these forum users can relate to him in one way or the other, most won't have his tech skills and will covet that from him while relating to his social awkwardness and anti-establishment /anti-social disorder vibe.

Watched it, really loved it, can't wait for episode 2, whenever that comes out.

One of the best pilots I have seen in a while.
