Burning Dawn is a Horde guild on the European RP-PVP realm Defias Brotherhood. The guild has been part of the server’s raiding community since the very beginning, over 9 years ago. It provides a cozy home for players who are interested in any or all aspects of the game. Our raid team is about “Quality over Quantity”, clearing content before major patch days on a real 2-day schedule.

We are also open to applications specifically for our weekly optional Heroic raid (Mondays, 20:00 – 23:00)!
Raid Times:
Tuesday and Thursday 19:30 – 23:30

Additionally, we offer regular flex raids which are optional and open to socials and alts.
We aim to give raid atmosphere and progress both the same high priority. We believe you can achieve good progress while being friendly towards each other and that these two things actually go hand-in-hand when respecting each other’s time and effort. We use our raid hours efficiently and prepare strategies prior to raids on our website, so we can offer 2-day raiding while being able to clear content of the highest difficulty well before big patch-days.
While we don't aim for rankings, we could position ourselves solidly among the world top 100 2-day raiding guilds. And regardless of that we can offer a thoroughly friendly atmosphere. Burning Dawn doesn't have cliques, bullies or elitist jerks.
What a Dawner needs to bring:
Most importantly, you really want what we offer and do your part to achieve it: a raid team in which everyone can feel comfortable and that works efficiently and competitively.
You’re reliable, on time and bring close to 100% attendance.
You know what you’re doing and you’re willing to do a bit more than to just carry your own weight, in raids, during your own preparation and in strategy discussions.
Burning Dawn raiding - then and now:
Burning Dawn started out as a large 40-man raiding guild in Vanilla. In The Burning Crusade with its introduction of 10-man raiding it grew a bit smaller and became part of a raid alliance. During Wrath and Cataclysm we could build a very competitive 10-man team, killing Sinestra and Deathwing hc before the next major patch and Ragnaros hc as first Horde guild on the server, all on a 3 day / 9 hours per week schedule. After a break during the first two tiers of Mists of Pandaria, the Dawners picked up their polearms and staves again and killed Garrosh 10 hc before 6.0 on the new 2 day / 8 hours per week schedule.
Burning Dawn has had the same guild- and raidleader for over 8 years now.

We take care of all of the 'standard' stuff we deem important: not having benchers (though backups are needed! done by Loot Needs, etc), having a good token balance, a healthy melee/ranged mix, et cetera. Last but not least, I reckon we're a very friendly bunch!
If you're unsure about being cut out for Mythic raiding, but reckon you have the drive and quite likely the skill if not the experience, why not apply as a social and impress us in a Flex raid or two?

Defias Brotherhood is a medium-to-large sized EU realm that recently coalesced with other RP-PvP realms to maintain a healthy player pool. Horde/Alliance ratio is roughly 1:1!

The realm used to have very large world PvP battles, at least for anniversaries. Not sure how that's been lately - though I've seen capital cities attacked regularly, lately.
Perhaps the 10-year anniversary of the realm, coming up soon, will see a very large one indeed. Even if you're not into PvP, those are cool. No promises, though!

We can imagine accepting people playing classes/specs other than what we've listed but then you'd better send in a damn good application.
