It started off really funny, but it's starting to get stale, and with no cohesive plot for most episodes it feels more like sketch comedy.

It pretty much is a sketch comedy. I guess it probably isn't the best series to marathon though. Maybe try watching something more serious and just dropping in an episode of SYD here and there. I will say I remember the second season being better (even though I still loved the first) once Uomi shows up and side characters like Tsuda's little sister and my personal favorites Hata and Judo-chan, start get more screen time. Ahh sex jokes the anime. It was good to watch every now and then. I did enjoy it much more than my girlfriend is a virgin bitch or whatever the hell that one was called from a couple seasons back

Saw a post someone made once that said they only watched episodes rated in the top 500. He got rightly laughed at, but it made me go and look and see where some of my favorite shows were. Sansha Sanyou is number 2900 on MAL. Haganai is 1756. New Game is 1022. Demi-Chan is 965. Gabriel Dropout is 1424. K-On, the most iconic slice of life show, has season 1 at 781. I suppose it depends on what you'd want out of the beta. If you want story, then you really only have the leveling content to spoil for yourself. If you want to play the new dungeons and raids, then they will almost certainly be in a different state then at launch, undertuned or overtuned. I guess you could participate in the War Front tests.
