World of warcraft - Legion name is quite disappointing, but why do it have to be more demons?

two expansions in a row of orcs not enough for you? everyone knew the burning legion was coming.



demon hunter class (Though why calling it a hero class is beyond me, everyone knows it still has to be balanced or you end up with WOTLK DKs again).
artifact weapons.
and what looks like classes having even further specializations...

It's called "hero class" because it starts at a higher level, with a dedicated storyline quest chain. That's all, it has nothing to do with relative power.

They call it hero class because it doesn't start at lvl 1. And we have the same specs, but now with PVP specific talents.

My best guesses about the new expansion were either Emerald Dream or Eye of Azshara to be fair, or atleast for them to be complete content patches, as an intermission expansion between the real Legion invasion. Not something like Let's mix the emerald dream, naga's, vrykul, a new elf race, and the legion together all in one But none the less the expansion has piqued my interest

I think this is going to be the first expansion that I won't buy. I already know that I'll have to remind myself a few times that I shouldn't buy it, though.

Honestly I feel the same way, despite Illidan being my favourite Warcraft character and Demon Hunters being my most wanted addition. It just feels like a cheap way to get people back, especially with stuff like Artifact Weapons. Even the expansion name is utterly uninspired.

seriously though. here is my major rant about Demon Hunters. lore wise yes it fits.

and now we have more of them? isn't it about time to add ANOTHER RANGED DPS CLASS to the game?

we have:

Tanks - DK, DH, Monk, Warrior, Paladin, Druid (6)
Healers - Monk, Druid, Paladin, Priest, Shaman (5)
Ranged - Druid, Warlock, Priest, Shaman, Mage, Hunter (6)
Melee - Rogue, Warrior, Paladin, DK, DH, Monk, Druid, Shaman (8)

and i mean come on. everyone stants there raids range heavy these days. have since Wrath.

Yeah, why add more melees if the average DPS players are too afraid to get close to danger and then play rangeds?
Melees are for real men, deal with it skirt wearers.

But now seriously:

I think they have more melee material than ranged, what could they do? Necromancer? There's WL already.
Runemaster? Also melee.
Tinker? Hard to pull off.
What else?

Blizzard and making sense don't really fit in the same sentence together tho.

I think a ranged DH spec could have worked out. Potentially using a chakram or bow, primarily dealing magic damage, but I guess a lot of people would complain it'd either get really close to a warlock or a hunter. And DH is pretty much the only new class that makes sense with this xpac.

People wanted DH since forever. If Blizz made a demon-centric xpac and did not include a DH riots'd happen.

hey you misunderstand. i play melee. i know damn well how cramped melee already is.


and that is why blizzard shouldn't have shoved so many different ranged potentials into just 4 classes.

because now they are all but boned on that front.
meanwhile they can shove as many melee down our throat as they want.

I UNDERSTAND THIS.
but you can't keep shoving more MELEE SPECS into a game that is LOSING MELEE RAID SLOTS as is.
there is already too much competition in the melee scene.
