SandForce controllers do not like this... at all.
Not sure if I have a SandForce controller; the SSD is Samsung, and my mobo is ASRock.

I know, I'm just at wit's end right now, really stressed the fuck out, and just want the fastest and easiest way to get my new computer running.

You should be fine with a Samsung drive (they use their own controllers), just make sure you use the Intel SATA ports and not the Marvell/Asmedia ones.
Your manual should tell you which SATA ports are which.

I understand wanting it to work and it not working on a new build is stressing.. however with computers you need to have patience.
Almost all issues can be resolved without much effort as long as you have the patience to do so and keep calm and level headed.

    Forgot to mention:

Samsung drives, in my experience, are very firmware critical.
After you reinstall everything make sure you install Samsung Magician and update the firmware on the drive if there is one available.

The EVO lines are susceptible to various things without the updates.

Anyway... good luck.. off to bed.

For my solution you should insert the cd and when you get to the install menu in the bottom left corner these should be an option to repair your computer if you follow that you should have the option to repair start up, you can try that if you haven't already

The mobo's manual doesn't say anything special about the SATA ports. Just that there's six of them and they support up to 6 GB/s.

Yeah, I put that on my list of programs to reinstall.

Anyways...installing Windows now. Didn't really lose very much on the drive by formatting it; I saved most of my personal files on my other SSD, and on my external HDD, leaving only small programs on my Windows SSD. I suppose the most major thing I lost was Chrome data, but most of the important stuff is saved in the cloud anyways. Oh no I'll have to re-login at all my usual websites, how horrible.

Already tried it; the Repair tool is not detecting my SSD.

Do I just use "Install" instead of the repair tool, or what? Install was detecting the SSD, but the Repair was not.
You just answered yourself. Fresh install with the install tool. Last time I saw this error it was due to me trying to boot off a pre-installed windows drive. Just use the installer to erase the old OS and install a fresh OS. That is the simplest solution.

Yep, that's what I ended up doing. Formatted the drive and put a fresh Win7 on it.

Currently installing various drivers from the motherboard's disc, and goddamn Windows boots insanely fast now that my SSD is no longer being bottlenecked!
