    Angry GW2 customer support

Trying to reset my password for the second time now, but my mails keep getting ignored. Whats going on there?

  2. #2
It took them 3-4 days to reply to my password issue. Did you get the auto-reply mail?

They must be really busy because when I started playing again last month, I was able to get my account reset and the old authenticator removed within 24 hours. They should get to you soon, or try calling maybe?

Check your spam folder, your email provider may be routing the responses there.

You should get an automated response almost immediately giving you a ticket number. Don't make additional tickets, that only slows the process down - instead, respond to the ticket with any updated info. Most tickets are resolved on the same day, but if it goes over 3 days you can have someone post your ticket number on this thread:

I got an automated response, saying that I'll get an answer soon. The day after this I recieved a mail where they asked me (again) for the details I also provided them in my first post.

    No mail since then.

Their CS is really, really poor. When I had an error in the sign up process, it took them days to respond and they kept asking me the SAME FUCKING QUESTIONS over and over after I'd answered them repeatedly. All in all, it took me almost a week to get in game. Good luck.

this is similar to my experience when i bought the game. their CS is horrendous. I had some issue with my old account linking and causing problems or something. dont remember.

Using Apple/ iCloud Mail, my emails from NCSoft / ArenaNet are almost always instant. o_o
I've heard people getting really long delays from them, but I've never witnessed it. Haven't really every wait longer than 5~ minutes.

That's the opposite of my experience, the few times I've needed support. My GW1 account was hacked at one point, and within a couple days (over the weekend, even!) they had it back in my control. It mostly comes down to the volume of tickets they're getting.

There are probably different support people for account related issues vs. game issues too, so it may depend on the kind of issue you have.

GW2 support has been pretty random for me, its like tossing a coin and hoping it lands on an employee who will read out and assist you or just give you an automated response/send your ticket back in queue.

One thing that can assist you is to go to their support forum on their website and enter in your ticket# in order for it to get reviewed. Their is a topic that is constantly updated regarding ticket updates.

Okay, problem fixed. Took them 3 days to reset my password. 2/5

I personally found Anet's CS to be very hit & miss. Usually on the low end of awful.

The official forums are the appropiate place for all concerns for the game not related to gameplay, however.

I have had a completely different experience from you. The one time I had to deal with customer support, they were prompt, polite, and fast.

I wrote a ticket few days ago and got replay in 4 hours...not that bad imo . Some ppl just have bad luck i guess. Even in WoW i had to wait couple of hours and we consider WoW CS much better since it is a sub game.

Anet CS is a very variable experience, i remember when i got hacked it took em around 24 hrs to get my acc rollbacked, which is pretty much what i expected from them to fix the issue
Cod has a new campaign, new weapons, new multiplayer levels every year. Zelda has been recycling the same weapons, villains, and dungeons since the 80's. Zelda recycles enough to make cod blush. The same weapons, villains, dungeons, and princess in every single Zelda for the most part. It's almost as cheesy as bowser vs Mario round 35

So far I only had positive experiences with the CS. Sooo I guess it's a matter of time till it goes wrong D:
