I don't see the problem with posting pictures of your family.

You do know about privacy settings on facebook right?
That, and make sure none of your pervy friends are included.

It's a better solution than living your life in fear.

Really, you cannot base your life decision wether another person is going to be a perv or not, it's no way to live proper.

Lol okay. Evolutionary biology/psychology dictates that you will take care of a young, small person or animal if you are the only adult around. You're not going to let a baby lie there and die. It's an unconscious thing inside your head. Saying you find babies gross is a conscious comment, and irrelevant, because evolution doesn't care about your fleeting opinion.

This extends to other animals as well. It's why people love puppies so much, because they literally need you to take care of them and have the cute big-eye features just like human babies. And vice-versa, when a human child lost in the woods starts crying they make the same pitch as a baby wolf, so wolves will come and protect that human child. It's survival.

Don't underestimate sociopaths... they do work differently.
    Generally you're right though

Lol, it's not like I wouldn't try to help a child in danger. I'm just saying (over dramatically) I've never had the urge to be a parent, and generally dislike being around children. If that's being a sociopath, oh well.

And that's how pretty much everyone sees them.

Now one could argue about protecting babies against pedophiles.... And that would be an argument..
Yet, the statistics show how sex crimes against minors, or even in general, are overwhelmingly committed by someone who is known, or even related to the victim. And that predates social networks like Facebook.
What are you talking about? How is a 5 year old less asexual than a 1 year old? Your response is totally non-sensical with regards to the laws in question. "The symbol of innocence" is true of a 1 year old but not a 6 year old? My question was, when do naked pictures of children become not OK? Is it 2 years old? 3? 4? Who is making these rules? Lets just all agree we shouldn't be plastering naked children pictures online eh?

I also appreciate you speaking for "pretty much everyone" AKA the human race, but I think you're stretching a bit in your insight of everyone on the planet. That's YOUR opinion and it isn't relevant for the child pornography laws. My question is what does the law say about it? Not what you think it should say or what your opinion of what you think everyone in the world thinks it is.

Not sure why I'm trying to have a real conversation on MMO-champ lol.

How many people are you friends with on facebook that would jerk off to a pic of a naked 2 year old boy?

Anyway, I think there should be a system in place on facebook where certain pics receive certain tags, or can be tagged by the poster, and you should have the ability to ban anything with a certain tag that you don't want to see in your feed. Seems like it would solve some problems. Things like simple selfies or scenic vistas and other innocuous things should be tagless.

I remember a time in the 90s and 00s when you couldn't go thru a full commercial break without seeing some random baby's ass. I'd just start yelling at the TV "WHERE'S ALL THE HOT WOMAN ASSES, GODDAMMIT?!" The fact that that was a thing, that diaper companies were actually trying to out-baby-ass each other, is still a head-scratcher for me to this day.
