Eh, shaman have many "toys" other classes don't have.

Gotta find a balance somewhere. And yeah, it's called "water walking".

Not every class has lust,
Not every class has their own mount,
Not every class has a "permamant" speed increase in a travel form,
Not every class has a knock back,
Not every class has a root,
Ect

Each class has their own "things"

Hell, if anything, I'm more surprised mages can't walk OR mount on water, they're masters of FROST!

In WoW the only place you'll find balance is druid's talent window.

You do know you can cast the spell on yourself and then mount with the ability to walk on water, right?

Or is your problem the fact you can't do it whilst already mounted? Which will never happen because, AFAIK, no spells can be cast when mounted. Changing it so you could would save you 1 GCD, it's not really a hardship now is it?

Make Water Walking usable while mounted.

This is a simple thing that I hadn't really noticed until WoD, being stuck without flying and all. Having to dismount almost makes the spell not worth it to cast.

There's not really much to discuss here. It would just make the game more enjoyable for everyone (we can cast it on others). Blizz, just make it happen.

That's something you'd type into the in-game suggestion box, Twitter, etc.? Maybe Trade chat?

I think it would be more elegant of them to baseline it as a passive, and remove fall damage in water (while able to walk on water).

Warlocks already have water walking on their class mounts, thus doubtful they'd ever give it to shamans.

BTW - ignore Noobist-Metro. He's just doing his usual fanboy routine for Blizz like he does on the HotS forum.

My guess here is TC has been chase by hostile one too many times and wants a fast getaway hence mount waterwalking.
