    Grounding when building pc

I am getting quite confused about how I should ground my self. Should I plug the PS into the socket and leave both the ps and the socket off and clip the band clipped to the ps? Or should I do something else

Clip the bands wire to the chassis and plug the power supply into the wall.

Wrist grounders are... highly overrated. Just make sure you touch something metal attached to the ground (Usually the computer case) before poking at sensitive stuff. Try not to do computer work on carpet.

I just grab hold of something metal that is grounded every now and again. Basically just don't wear synthetic materials and you'll be fine.
