I can't say how I'd feel if I was with someone that made more than me, but I know that I very much like having a partner that also brings in a stable income. It makes life a lot easier to have a dual income household.

You may be conflating "society" and "gender stereotypes" with "evolved traits" and "stable cultures". You won't find a lot of cultures with long-term success and advancement that don't place value on men as providers.

Sure, she's hot, even if it's all just photoshop and professional makeup artists and stuff. I've seen her plastered on magazines etc so I guess she's considered hot. I'd say Angelina Jolie but that was like 10 years ago.
Yeah, but modern society and the equality it brings hasn't been around for very long, relatively speaking. "Men as providers" doesn't make a lot of sense in the modern context.

You're overcomplicating it.
Men just care less about realtive incomes that are lower than them. Women like men to make more, and men like women to be physically attractive.
When said woman makes more money, that dynamic switches and alienates the guy I imagine. I've heard some people say that that's one of the reasons why black men and women date each other less often. Black women are starting to earn more.
