From the #1 Cata review on Amazon.com: "Blizzard's greatest misstep was blaming players instead of admitting their mistakes.
They've convinced half of the population that the other half are unskilled whiners, causing a permanent rift in the community."
prior to quitting friends were the only reason I stuck around. Once they left. I did too.
Speak with your wallet, that's the only way they'll listen. It seems (to me) Blizz/Activision don't care about the game any more and are trying to milk the player base for what they can.
1. In-game store. It's BS, you pay £50 for an expansion and £120 a year subscription, but still don't have access to everything in the game without spending more £.
2. More frequent expansions AND they've increased the prices. They're trying to convince us the more frequent expansions are actually better for the consumer?!
3. Less content and higher sub. Let's be honest, what worthwhile content is there in 6.2? Tanaan is basically timeless isle with about 4/5 daily quests, what else is there to do other than grind rep and stack apexis crystals?
The only time my guild (and many others) are active is at raid time. Everything is focused on raids and the game is severely lacking in the outside world. They should have at least made Tanaan like IoT rather than TI.
It seems to me that a lot of people stick around purely because they've made so many great friends on WoW and don't want to let them down. I know exactly how they feel, I've been with the same guild for 8/9 years and I know I'll miss the people more than the game.
My sub runs out next week, I'll wait and see if Blizzard can tempt me back; if they continue to treat WoW like a basic cash cow I doubt I'll re-sub.

I understand that after 10 years you will get a bit burned. But also you are right in some aspects the game it's too easy now, i mean easy to get stuff. Mythic gear from garrisons? really? and other stuff. In my opion the game went with the flow of the market, the new players want to be top lvl quick and get gear quick and in a easy way. So Blizz had to give them that. It's sad that dungeon are easy because when they made them hard those players just cryed until they nerf them to the ground. But thats my opinion. The problem is the new kind of players. They are lazy!
I just wish there were Instances that would accommodate groups of 2-4 players and 6-9 players. That would help me tremendously.
just quit and stop whining
I know right? They push a button and poof, mythic gear! Easy peasy, nothing to it... sucks! Oh... except for the part where they have to loot 21 heroic bosses... and the part where they have to have an assortment of followers who are 660+ ilevel which typically takes about 6-12 weeks to do to get a proper spread of abilities to 100% them... and the part where they have to build their garrison exactly right to have a chance to get the tokens to get to that ilevel.... But yeah, once you loot 21 bosses and spend a few months upping the levels of your followers then yeah.. push a button and out comes the mythic.
People shouldn't be allowed to have mythics... Btw we need a healer for tonights mythic raid or we can't raid, do you have any friends that can heal? You have a heroic raider friend who puts out great numbers? Ugh, we're going to have to gear them up just to have a chance... what? They have 3-4 mythic gear from caches and can hit the ground running? Great! Tell them to come! But yeah... people shouldn't be allowed to get mythic gear from caches for doing absolutely nothing... *tsk tsk tsk*
It is so hard to find people capable or raiding mythic content and keeping 20 players, but lets make it harder than it needs to be by removing mythic caches because we don't like other people wearing the most basic gear that we feel makes us feel better than anyone else, because not being able to do the content because I can't make a 20 man team is much better than someone walking around with the same star on their bellies as me.
The game is a lot more fun with friends, but most of mine have already quit or took a break because its summer. The ones that stay around only log in for raids. I wish the game would encourage you to meet new people, in vanilla and TBC it was very easy to do so when you actually needed each other to get certain things done. The current game is just a queuefest where you never have to leave your garrison, and play around with this in-game Facebook games. The game at its current state is hardly a MMORPG if you ask me.
yeah, but then please talk about your raiding experience in classic, because before you talked about bc and wotlk, and the raids there didn't nearly take as long as classic raid. But if you meant classic raids all along, and you prefer them to the raids today, then i clearly know what to think about your post.
OP. STop playing this game, forget about and find something that does not bore you This game is going down a new route, a wierd route, but it is something that we can do nothing about, so say goodbye to WOW and play some wildstar instead
Good luck with Wildstar, seriously. Suggesting to someone who is not raiding to go to Wildstar because they are bored of wows endgame content could cause them to commit suicide. Once you hit max level your options for non-raid level content is to do the same 8 dailies over and over again or PVP. I use to be the biggest Wildstar supporter until I hit max level and had the wind knocked out of me when I saw what there was left for me to do because my guild could not get 40 people through the gating efficiently and kept falling apart. Your options are the same dailies every day, half of which were in reskins of starter zones, and scenario battles which you will burn out on quickly, some of which are basically pvp vrs AI in a moba. Then you have PVP which is plagued by bots and horrible balancing issues.
Brazzer has more content
It's all subjective but I've always been confused by this. I don't rate MoP as highly as WoTLK or BC, but I really thought after Cata that Blizzard had their head screwed on right again. A few missteps like the gated dailies in 5.0 aside, MoP really delivered. Great raids, fun levelling content, beautiful zones, new race and class, something useful to do with Archeology, etc etc.
The biggest thing for me apart from the 14 month gap (which is more WoD's problem than MoP's) they delivered balanced, feature-rich content patches at a good pace that were a blast to experience.
...What happened?
Knowledge is power, and power corrupts. So study hard and be evil.
probably me having massive depression but atm doesn't feel like its even worth the gold token as soon as time runs out i'm done with this expac till i see something good again inc.
Why the fuck we should talk about MY raiding experiances? Im just telling the facts in here cause the guy told raids NEVER took a months to clear.

Cure for WoW's ills?
Make the next boss so difficult that it won't be downed even by the top 10 raid guilds for 155 days.
Even make it a patchwerk boss, so they can have an entire Arcane mage DPS crew and still they can't down it for 155 days.
If raiding is everything and the only means to gear up, I want these raiders to actually work for their gear (not claim their guild got it down on farm in 2 weeks from release and that BS).
Make it miserable for everyone else to gear out, join the party. ^-^
