    Thoughts on Asus ROG GR6-R018M

Im never a fan of prebuilt PC's as they are always overpriced compared to the price you pay if you built the exact same PC with identical parts by yourself.

However I came across the Asus ROG GR6-R018M which seems pretty good value for what you get.

Specs are similar to laptop stuff but in a PC tower case.

    Intel Core i5 5200U Processor
NVIDIA GeForce GTX960M 2GB, Intel HD Graphics 5500
    8gb Ram
    1Tb Hdd (additional bay for 2.5" ssd/hdd)

I would say its pretty good value if you are someone like me who owns a laptop but uses it like a PC tower anyway with external everything plugged in (mouse / keyboard / monitor / speakers

    Thoughts ?

If your goal is to put a PC in your living room or some other small place where you can't fit a normal sized PC, then sure, it's a decent deal (though you could build an ITX machine for cheaper with better specs). If space isn't an issue, build a real PC for less and be done with it. Consider the fact that a laptop is not built from equivalent parts to a desktop. A 960 on a laptop is more like a desktop 750. Sure, it will play games just fine, but if you want high resolution/settings, you're going to notice performance degradation.
