Hi guys,
I'm considering to sell my PC. Simply because the case is way too big and I doubt I can fit my current rig in a (much) smaller case. I dont use it enough to justify keeping it, all I use it for are my financials and chatting while gaming on my PS4 which is maybe 4 hours per week max.
My current rig is:
Corsair Carbine 500R case
Seasonic M12II-620 psu
Sapphire Dual-X R9 280x GPU
Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 memory
Gigabyte Z77X-D3H mobo
Crucial M4 128gb SSD
Western Digital 1tb HDD
Intel i5-2500k running at stock currently
Zulaman CNPS10X Performa with 2 coolers
So my question is, if I'd buy these parts new (most aren't even for sale here in Holland anymore as far as I have seen), this pc is worth 1300 euro. What could I get for it if I'd sell it?
What is the smallest case I can fit this rig in? My stock cooler is huge just as my graphic card so I don't have much faith in this myself. I've seen people put insane rigs in very small cases here, so I think something must be possible. The case however should be a lot smaller before I'd consider it.
My other option is buying a (gaming) laptop. I know Alienware and such should be avoided, but what should I go for if a smaller case is not a possibility? I KNOW I someday will return to gaming on PC again as I've been a PC gamer since forever. Any suggestions? Ofcourse this will depend on the smaller case availability.
My last question is my modem. I bought a house and moved here 6 months ago. I've been having on and off issues with it, mainly WiFi.
Despite me trying to connect everything correctly, the modem ended up behind the couch. I also have like 4 ethernet cables plugged in there. It's a Ubee EVW 321b. Would I get better performance if I'd buy a router which is placed on a better location? I've also read that plugging that much in your modem doesnt work out properly. But I've no clue if this is the case with every modem.
Sorry for the wall of text and thanks in advance!
