    Rift 3.3 - Hotfixes

    Update 3.3 has been out a few days not but unfortunately, not without it's issues, mostly relating to optimizations for large Guilds loading into the game memory.

    Anyhow, onto the hotfixes which are mostly fixes for the crashes and Dimensions not loading etc, as they were all small ones, i put them in one post

    RIFT 3.3: Hotfix #1 7/15/2015

    GENERAL

    Nothing new or exciting added to this weeks hotfix, just a few annoying bugfixes and some QoL tweaks, all in Hotfix #3

    RIFT 3.3: Hotfix #3 7/22/2015

    * Artificer crafted companion pets no longer stack.
    * Fixed an issue with the animation when using the Levitate mount.
    * Fixed an issue causing minion mission complete star animations and minion leveled up UI messages to not show up.
    * Fixed a crash related to some sky geometry not loading.
    * Fixed a crash that could occur when queueing for a Random Chronicle.

    * Empyrean Ascension: Fixed a bug causing this ability to not to grant the Charge its tooltip claimed it would grant.

    * Fixed an issue preventing the random queue River of Souls chronicle from providing the correct rewards.

    DRAUMHEIM

    * Quest: Give Me A Break: Fixed an issue with Indigestus’ respawn area not matching the size of the quest objective locator.

    TARKEN GLACIER

    * Instant Adventure: Many objectives have been tuned up or down as needed for more appropriate difficulty.
    * Quest: March of the Guffins: Fixed an issue causing the Guffin Overlord to spawn early.
    * Quest: March of the Guffins: Moved a rift that could spawn in the final objective area.


    DUNGEONS AND RAIDS

    RHEN OF FATE

    * The Drekanoth of Fate will no longer using Scorching Light above 20% health unless set to Hard difficulty.
    * Ungolok: Fixed a bug where Pressure Burst was hitting harder than intended when the mechanic was executed properly. Thanks for the report Lynspottery!

    ITEMS

    * The epic mage staff Scepter of Reason now correctly upgrades into both the relic staff Zorrin, the World Breaker and Zorrin, the World Mender.
    * The upgrade cost for the Staff of Broken Reason to upgrade into Haldon, Reason’s Prison has been corrected. Cost now 7 Abyssal Crusader’s Marks, up from 4.

    A few minor tweaks to Instant Adventures issues, Act Two of the Nightmare Saga is active (some parts are sure to cause serious nerd rage), all in Hotfix #5

    RIFT 3.3: Hotfix #5 7/29/2015

    FEATURES

    The Nightmare Saga: Act II is now live!
    Players who have completed Act 1 can return to the Throne Room in Tempest Bay to continue the story.


    GENERAL

    * Fixed some visual artifacts caused by models loading.
    * The number of appearances required to complete the top Cape and Chest wardrobe achievements have been lowered.


    RIFT STORE AND SERVICES


    * Level 65 equipment dropped from Supply Crates and Troves now have a new upgrade tier.
    * All service items that drop from Supply Crates or Troves after today's hotfix can no longer be traded.
    Any existing service items that have already been obtained will remain tradeable, and there are no plans to force them to be bound.


    ZONES AND EVENTS

    * The Water Saga quests Atonement and The Solace Cabal should function much more reliably now.

    SILVERWOOD

    * IA: Clearing the Forest: Fixed an issue that could block larger adventure groups from progressing on this quest.
    * IA: Goblin War Council: Reduced health and damage of bosses. Also removed the ability "Elemental Swarm" from the bosses. (Thank you to Shedelin!)
    * IA: Fire Brigade: Fixed an issue where quest objective fires were not visible to some players

    STONEFIELD

    * Quest: What's Yours Is Mine: The cooldown on the quest objective has been removed. (Thank you to Velorek@Gelidra!)

    TARKEN GLACIER

    * Daily Quest: Kill It With Fire: This quest should work properly once again. (Thank you to Lufia5!)

    THE DENDROME

    * Fixed a rare mob issue where Drone Bennkaa would spawn instead of Overseer Primarch.

    SOULS

    CHLOROMANCER

    * Known Issue: Chloromancers with Savant's Crystals who re-apply Synthesis to a target they already have Synthesis active on will lose the benefit of their 2 and 4 piece bonus.
    - This can be worked around by casting Synthesis on a second target, or by having the initial target cancel their buff before you re-cast it.
    - This will be fixed in an upcoming hotfix.


    ITEMS

    * Smooth Guffin Pebble: This item can now only be used in the open world.
    * Column of Housed Souls now has an DPS upgrade path for a relic item.

    Nothing too exciting in this weeks hotfix, a few tweaks to make the Saga a bit less annoying and you can now craft from items stored in your shared Account Vault

    RIFT 3.3: Hotfix #6 8/5/2015

    GENERAL

    * Minions: Fixed a bug that would cause the daily refresh to happen after a player was logged in.
    * Fixed an issue that would prevent a player from accessing their wardrobe.
    * Implemented stability improvements in the cloth system.
    * Steam users can now purchase the Power Pack properly.
    * Fixed a bug with Blue Intricate, Green Gem, and Golden Flower portrait frames.


    ZONES AND EVENTS


    * Nightmare Saga: Fixed a respawn issue with guffins at the final research site in the quest “March of the Guffins”. Also moved a few Glacial Hunters away from the third research site to minimize quest interference.


    DUNGEONS AND RAIDS


    * Fixed a bug that was preventing players from joining an instance.

    CHRONICLE: SHADOW FROM THE BEYOND

    Fixed an edge case where sometimes the Memory Crystal to skip the intro vignette would not despawn correctly.


    CRAFTING

    * Crafting can now consume items from the Shard Vault!

    Haven't seen it in notes anywhere, but you can also harvest max level materials even if they're red. You'll skill up and will get some materials (generally only 1 of whatever you're harvesting), but the fact that you can pretty much level from 1-whatever the cap is exclusively in NT zones is fantastic. I was hoping they'd make this change at some point.

    Yeah that was a strange omission from the patch notes but seems it was an intended feature according to Game Director Chris "Archonix" Junior in an interview with MMORPG:

    you may log into Rift after this article and realize you can now harvest in areas well beyond your level of harvesting skill. Trion’s done something very helpful in allowing players of all levels to harvest anything, anywhere. You might still suck at harvesting a plant in a zone you’re not quite leveled up to, but even failing to get anything good from that harvesting node will level up your harvesting ability… negating the need to go back to lower level zones just to level harvesting. Simple, and brilliant really

    Right, back to business, there was a bit of lag introduced when trying to craft from your new, shared account Bank Vault, all fixed up with this Client side fix which didn't need a server restart, here's Hotfix #6.5 done by Tacitus

    RIFT 3.3: Hotfix #6.5 8/6/2015

    GENERAL


    * Fixed an issue causing lag on the client side while crafting.
    * Re-enabled Steam Wallet purchases for items such as the Power Pack.

    These fixes are client side only and do not require a server restart. They will be applied when you next login into Rift and download the Update.

    It's not too often the hotfix notes get posted a few hours before the patch

    Seems we'll be getting some new loading screens and logos, Act III of the Saga goes Live (hope you enjoy all the content in Rift as you'll be doing Nightmare Rifts, collecting artifacts, running Warfronts, running Experts etc, looking forward to the flame quest in Temple of Aia), all this in Hotfix #7

    I bloody hope so. Was introduced with the last patch (or one of the hotfixes since then) and it's been annoying as hell. Granted, the store has always been pretty slow, but having the game lock up for 3-4 seconds while it loads a tab is silly.

    With 3.4 possibly coming next week on October the 6th (probably more likely though on the 13th) it's time to make sure the hardware is up to it, North America got their upgrades last week, time for Europe to get out upgrades tomorrow, all in hotfix #14

    The dungeon/chronicle fix is nice. Wish they'd take the next step and have people who enter in midway enter in with the group rather than at the start as well, but babysteps.
