Should Hardees show men biting into hamburgers?

Displaying on numerous channels, the commercials display attractive women, normally half exposed biting into oversized hamburgers. Over recent complaints from women and men they are shouting out to Hardees, "Where are the men?" Do you think Hardees should show attractive men biting into Hamburgers to persuade the audience to buy their meal products?
The audience had thrown out puns such as "Hard-Dees, indeed." and "Burger mouth"

No, Hardees should not show men biting into hamburgers. It might not be for long, but right now I think its still ok to consider females a more visually pleasing gender, and market based on that.

Isn't it disassociate portraying it that way, though? I understand that sex sells, but what about the consumer's imprint of the product? I mean, you're not going to go to Hardee's and see attractive young girls there biting into hamburgers...

What about a commercial about a rugged masculine guy eating a burger, who is then joined by attractive women because of how manly eating a burger at Hardee's is? Wouldn't THAT be a better marketing strategy for a commercial?

They could, but would it make sense? I would bet more guys than girls eat those burgers. Hence sexy women to attract men. I think everyone would acknowledge women don't actually eat the burgers. Especially maintaining those bodies. :P

Sexy half naked men would fit better eating something women prefer. I don't know, yogurt? Either way I'm all for more equal opportunity lewdness. Bring on the sausages.

Advertisement is most effective when it's targeted at the proper demographic. If men buy burgers far more often than women, which I assume is the case if Hardees did its research, then it would make sense to have hot women biting into burgers instead of dudes. There's no law or ethical obligation for ads to be inclusive of all races, religions, sexual orientations, ect.

If the goal is to replicate the commercial with men, they need to make sure they get the shots right - a third of the screen should be burger, a third of the screen should be lips, and a third of the screen should be a semi-erect bulge bursting out of an American Flag speedo

Some men don't like women in that way. All viewers aren't men. Most of the time, women are at home and men are outside. Women are the majority seeing these commercials most of the day.

Possibly, but for a 41 second long commercial there is a danger of over-complicating it and diluting your message. This ad is very simple. Close up on burger, zoom out to hot girl, zoom out to hot girl in water, zoom out to show the girl is actually in a truck-mounted hot tub instead of a lake, zoom out to show the truck is on an aircraft carrier with jets, fireworks, Statue of Liberty, then zoom back in to the girl chomping on the burger. Tagline, done. Simple, entertaining, effective.

Hardee's needs to put anything they want in their ads that they think will sell their product (other than falsehoods). If that is hot women eating burgers, their business. Whether it does or doesn't include men eating burgers is their business.
