Horde Keybinding/macros that you use on the reg.

back when demon was good i used

    #showtooltip Dark Soul: Knowledge
    /cast Dark Soul: Knowledge
    /cast Grimoire: Doomguard

    pretty sure everyone did.

now that most locks are playin destruction. what are some useful macros or keybindings that you use regularly.
    thanks.

    #showtooltip Havoc
    /cast [@mouseover,harm] Havoc; [harm] Havoc

I use the same thing for Shadowburn

No. Casting grimoire of service should always be done before dark soul, both because of duration as well as the fact that service uses a gcd. This macro is not recommended for optimal performance.

    #showtooltip Shadowburn
    /stopcasting
    /cast Shadowburn

This one stops all casting to get Shadowburn off.

    #showtooltip Havoc
    /cast [@mouseover] Havoc

This one allows you to cast Havoc on the target that your mouse is currently hovering over--extremely useful when seamlessly sniping Shadowburns, or otherwise using Havoc.

    Macros that I'm using are

    #showtooltip Shadowburn
    /cleartarget [@mouseover,harm,nodead]
    /cast Shadowburn [@mouseover,harm,nodead][]Shadowburn
    /targetlasttarget [@mouseover,harm,nodead]

    #showtooltip Havoc
    /cleartarget [@mouseover,harm,nodead]
    /cast Havoc [@mouseover,harm,nodead][]Havoc
    /targetlasttarget [@mouseover,harm,nodead]

    #Showtooltip Immolate
    /cast [target=mouseover] Immolate

Just a couple of my most common macros.

As for keybindings it's generally easier to just play around with bindings till you feel comfortable as everyone uses the keyboard in different ways. If you have a naga you can utilize that in many ways if you aren't comfortable using more buttons on the keyboard.

What is the advantage of this compared to a simple mouseover macro?

I have a backup of my macros here, http://strongauras.com/macros/ I'd like to take another pass at them add add or improve a few still.

There was a bug with Havoc in MoP, I don't exactly remember what it was, but that macro fixed whatever the bug was breaking. It's no longer necessary though, and a simple mouseover macro will do the job just fine.

    Demonic TP.
    #showtooltip
    /cast [mod:ctrl] Demonic Circle: Teleport
    /cast [nomod:ctrl] Demonic Circle: Summon

Have most of the ones other people have linked anyways so thought i'd share this. Nothing new just a macro to make life simpler in terms of bindings.

I dont think I'd recommend this. There's some encounters where you'd want to save the DG for lust execute and by pushing this in with DS takes that control away and almost always uses it on pull :/

I have mouseovers for all my basic abilities as destro, immo, conflag, incin, CB & SB.

Also have cast @focus havoc and have the boss set as my focus. Makes it quick to havoc and keep training an add for stuff like Archi, Manno, Kilrogg & Gorefiend without having to try to mouseover

Do you have issues with spells locking up if you put toys in your spam macros? I know I used to do this in mop, but once wod came out I'd get bugged out if button mashing heavily.

Mouse over shadowburn is probably the most usefull macro.

You realize that Grimoire: Doomguard is not Summon Doomguard?

  17. #17
Back in the good ol' days of GoServ DemServ Demo like Astynax said you always wanted at least one Grimoire in execute for the damage boost. So on some fights you wanted your DS alone so you could accomplish this. Not to mention that macro also seems to cause some ability lag. I found it much better when I seperated the 2 abilties.

As to macros I have them for mouseovers and focus for all DoTs, Havoc and Shadowburn. One that combines DS and a racial.

Keybinds are a very personal thing but generally I find it better to have the ones I can use on the move or are instant cast nearest to the movement keys. There are multiple guides around to give you some more pointers.

I've not noticed any issues with those two whistles.

  19. #19
Just wondering what the whistles actually do having them in the macro?

it means he uses them and makes whistle noises when he spams incinerate.

My old resto druid had the darkmoon flamethrower bound to all his spells.

was funny seeing him breath purple and green fire all the time in raid
