Microsoft has confirmed when its Gamescom 2015 press conference will take place, along with some of the titles that'll be on display.

The Gamescom 2015 Xbox briefing will take place on Tuesday, August 4 at 7am PT / 10am ET / 3pm GMT, and titles already confirmed for the show include Scalebound, Quantum Break and Crackdown.

While both Scalebound and Crackdown were revealed during Microsoft's E3 press conference last year, Head of Xbox Phil Spencer recently explained on Xbox Wire that Microsoft's "jam-packed lineup of games to show at E3" made it impossible for the company to give every upcoming Xbox One game "its well-deserved time in the spotlight." Therefore, Crackdown and Scalebound are joining Remedy's Quantum Break "front and center" at Gamescom in August, "along with new game reveals for both Xbox One and Windows 10."

Final Fantasy XV Will Be Square Enix’s Main Event At Gamescom 2015

Final Fantasy XV will be one of the main games Square Enix will showcase at Gamescom 2015, the publisher announced this morning. Square Enix say their “big stage” is reserved for Final Fantasy XV, and that visitors will be treated a number of “exciting stage presentations with many well-known guests”.

Square promise to offer new insights into Final Fantasy XV at Gamescom, along with: Dragon Quest Heroes, Life is Strange, Final Fantasy Type-0 for PC, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, the new Hitman, and Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward.

More information regarding the Final Fantasy XV stage schedule and other reveals at Gamescom 2015 will be announced in the coming weeks, Square say.

Electronic Arts will host a Gamescom press conference at the Koelnmesse on August 5 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. German time.

Doors will open 30 prior to the press conference.

EA has yet to announce its Gamescom lineup, however titles like Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, Star Wars Battlefront, and Need for Speed should be expected.

Gamescom 2015 runs from August 5 to 9.

Bandai Namco is focusing on two titles for this year’s Gamescom. The publisher is bringing Dark Souls III and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4.

Dark Souls III will be playable for the first time to attendees. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 will, of course, also be playable.

“Gamescom is THE event you need to attend if you are a videogame fan or a professional,” said Bandai Namco Europe VP of marketing Herve Hoerdt in a press release. “As always, this is a great opportunity for Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe to make sure that we are perfectly aligned with our fans’ expectations and to unveil new details on some of the most-awaited games.

“All of our manga and anime fans will be delighted to discover brand new content for the future hit Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 and let’s not forget the players out there who are looking to get their hands on the next epic adventure with Dark Souls III, we are looking forward to see you all at Gamescom soon!”

What will World of Warcraft’s next expansion be? Forget speculation — you’ll be finding out for real in a little over a week.

Blizzard announced today that it will reveal the follow-up to Warlords of Draenor on Thursday, August 6th, at noon EDT during a Gamescom livestream. The studio said that it will have a follow-up dev chat covering the expansion on August 9th during the convention as well.

“Join us Thursday, August 6th, at 9 a.m. PDT for a special World of Warcraft event streamed live from Gamescom 2015 in Cologne, Germany — where we’ll be unveiling the next chapter of the World of Warcraft saga,” the studio teased on the offical game site.

Fans were hoping to hear about the expansion soon, considering that the last expansion has already wrapped up its patch cycle. So since we have a week until the news, how about whipping up a Massively OP office pool to guess the new expansion’s name?
