Because Europeans are used to having their rights taken away by this point.

What's to get? Is it just some special 'feeling' that only those who feel they are discriminated against can feel? But certain people that you personally don't think are discriminated against can't 'feel' it according to you? Seems like a massive cop out.

I don't agree with your opinion that white people are more racist than others.

OP got some issues. "Why cant I call people nigger" Well use your brain for once and maybe you would understand.

Either a troll thread or just a really dumb person, I wont delve further into any discussion since common sense should filter away these kind of shit-threads.

Why do people post this kind of stuff? All you did was give the typical "Duh! It's obvious!" answer without explanation, then you went ahead and slandered the OP because he doesn't automatically know about what you didn't refer to.

How about this. Why is calling someone a certain name worse than calling someone any other name? If it all boils down to interpretation, then no word is safe. We shouldn't be deeming people are criminal just for saying words somebody personally doesn't like.

So you really feel the need to get explained why racism is wrong in 2015?

Because racism to some white people is just plain silly to them so they say things like sensitive black people, and people are pussies in this day and age. You know what yea it is a special feeling, I have been discriminated against my entire life, so it is a bigger deal to me. If you are white and haven't experienced racism or discrimination you likely just wont get it. But spinner I know you spend your entire time downplaying racism and saying people are overreacting. Guess what you are probably white, I don't mean that as an insult but it means you probably haven't experienced what I have. I love this thread, people are upset that making hateful comments is looked down upon.

Did you read the thread to title? I take it you want to outlaw racial words. Should calling someone a cracker get you sent to jail?

Thankfully, it's not like this in the United States. "I might disagree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it" as Voltaire said. It doesn't matter how stupid or untrue an opinion (or even an ignored fact) is, people have the god-given right to express themselves.

what the nazi's expressed is quite similar to what is expressed by many left wing socialists of today. Being the nazi party was a left wing socialist workers party. The sheer majority of nazi people had no idea what was actually going on in regards to the war effort, experimentations and the atrocities being committed against the jewish people.

I am not upset that hateful comments are being looked down upon. Rather, I don't understand why in this day and age we choose to tolerate some hateful comments more than others. It all depends on what is politically correct. Why aren't all insults equal? Because somebody interprets it differently for some reason. How far do we have to advance before people stop caring about being called names? It's like we live in a generation where the children didn't grow up into adults, and still name call to make the other person angry, and the other person still gets angry, and we have come up with excuses to justify this pointless anger in pointless name calling.

yelling racial insults doesnt instigate violence. at the most it'll hurt the gypsies feelings, but words are just words. actions speak much louder. plus one person is yelling that its not a big deal, they will probably cool off and go back to minding their own business. in a crowd situation its bad though.

in conclusion it shouldnt be a crime to yell racial slurs or insults regardless of how hurtful they may seem, they are just words.

Something being wrong isn't the same as it being a crime.

Umm, do you live under a rock or something? Of course you have terrorist organisations that use their religion as an excuse in Buddhism / Hiduism / Christianity etc.

The most devastating terrorist organisation to have ever attacked "Western" nations is Christian (IRA).

Both Hindus and Buddhists have a long history of carrying out terrorist acts in South and East Asia, particularly against other religious and ethnic groups.

Jewish terrorism doesn't really have much impact any more but during the mid-20th century it was very common in the Middle East and US (infact there have been more attacks on US soil by Jewish terrorists than by Muslim terrorists).

Even Mormons have a lovely terrorist past.

Terrorists exist in every major religious group, they aren't "just Islam" by any stretch of the imagination.
